Waiting on FedEx delivery tomorrow!!

So I found a sweet little dh leopard albino BCI that will join the family tomorrow! Thought I'd post a link to his sales page since my camera is on the fritz. Picked up this little guy from Perfect Predators. Manny has a couple of his brothers still available!! :D

:rofl::rofl::rofl: I can NOT wait to see that eye candy tomorrow!! And I am insanely jealous of what you are attempting to do, so we're even!

I am almost 100% sure this guy will prove out het leopard and so is Manny. Several other folks I know who work with leopards agree. He has some telltail markers for the gene: his amazing tail pattern, the broken and spotted saddles, and the very dark and distinct head markings are all markers for the leopard gene. There were also a good number of visual leopards in his litter. :gj:

Thanks very much everyone!! I will make an attempt to post some unboxing pictures! This is the first snake I've had actually shipped to my house (usually I pick them up AT the FedEx facility), so I'm sitting on pins and needles a bit. But the tracking shows that he is on the truck for delivery, so it should be soon!

That little one has it all, nice color, cool pattern, and fantastic genes! Great pick-up!

His colors are just amazing!! I have NEVER seen such pink on a boa that isn't a hypo - he looks like he crawled through raspberry jam.... :D

He is sweet for sure. The pattern screams leopard het to me to. And the fact that he didn't come out of the box swinging is a nice plus lol.

If that breeder has straight up Colombian boas with patterns like that, I'll consider an order. However I'm only in the market for about $200-$285 so I doubt I'll get anything like that.

He is a Colombian, but the leopard gene originates with Sonoran Desert boas (also BCI, but one of the Mexican localities) so he would be technically considered a locality cross - but the Sonoran is back quite a ways so it's a distant cross.

He is a "normal" that is 100% het albino and 66% het for leopard. But his exceptional pattern clearly indicates he is actually het for the leopard gene. No normal without carrying the gene would look like this. But we can not say he's 100% het until he produces a leopard! So now I need a Leopard female...... :D:D:D

Manny frade is trash I would never purchase from him or support him in anyway. Im shocked you recieved boa u paid for as the man is famous for pulling a switcharoo. He has 800 adult animals. He has nice boas but he is the biggest snake in the business and as long as new people who dont know manny for his true self hell continue to thrive in this wonderful hobby and its sad. But as I said he has nice stuff and that right there is a gorgeous boa! ;) congrats hes a hottie!

Pardon me, but I have worked with Manny in the past. I also know quite a few folks who've purchased from him and not a single one has ever complained. Each person I know who have gotten a boa from Manny has gotten the very one they ordered. Although this is the first boa I've actually bought from him, I was EXTREMELY impressed with the snake's condition and professional packaging. The entire transaction was very smooth. In addition, I could have requested that the snake be sent out last week, but at Manny's suggestion, we waited for the weather to continue to improve. I was gratified that he was not only willing to hold the animal another week, but that he also had the animal's best interests in mind.

I don't know if you have personally had a bad experience with him or if you are just hearing rumors, but around here, we try not to bash someone without providing first hand experience. I mean no disrespect, but please, if there is valid information to share, please do so on our inquiries and feedback forum. I am sure that if there are real reasons why folks shouldn't buy from him, they would like to know.

Also, I should point out that I am in no way "new" to boas as your post above rather suggests. Neither are several of those "other folks" I mentioned who've purchased from Manny. I (and those others) may not be well-known, but that in no way makes us new or means that we are "out of the loop". I do my research before buying a snake from ANYone. I, for one, don't have money to throw away so I intend to ensure each transaction is a professional and good one.

I am not defending Manny. As I said, if you have legitimate and actual reasons for your statements, please share them - on their own thread and in the proper way. Thanks!

Great song and great name choice! I hate it when you get something new! Its always something I'm not familiar with and makes me second guess my direction. Lol he is great and can't wait to see what you pickup to pair him with!

I don't want to go much further on this, You have a great animal and don't want to ruin your thread. Your right it doesn't belong here. But I was the "unknowing person" and had my own run in and I was pissed that nobody said anything until after the fact. So I open my mouth and give some warning if possible. Id also like to explain what I ment by "new" You are great you obviously have some good experience and knowledge. Definitely not new to the keeping of reptiles of different species. When I say new I mean to the business side (keeping, breeding, selling, trading, contracted partnerships, breeding loans, vending at shows ect) This you are new too. In stepping into that side of reptiles you met a lot of people, all the big boys. Not only will you have your own personal experiences with people (as Ive had mine with manny it is posted in the boi, the animal in question(manny had for close to 2 yrs) is on antibiotics and still being brought back to good health. but you also hear other peoples personal experiences. Manny is black listed nobody who has been in this biz for 10 yrs plus will even acknowledge his existence, Look on his fan page for example everybody there are "hobbyist" and "keepers". Manny puts on a good show he has money, a big website, he mass produces animals. I fell for it, and many others will. but pretty packaging and nice animals does not make you a stand up and honest guy. Start emailing some of the big boys they have horror stories with that man. Anyway, I wont go any further on this. Just trying to be helpful. And definitely not trying to insult you in anyway, you have quite a bit of knowledge it seems and I look forward to seeing you produce some nice stuff!
