Any football fans with thoughts on free agency?
Just curious if there are any nfl fans out there and how your teams are doing in free agency. I live outside Detroit and was happy to see them sign Reggie Bush. Should make games more exciting than just Megatron!

I'm in Seattle. We just signed Percy Harvin. We also picked up Avril. Two big name signings. I hope Harvin can stay healthy. If he can then we're going to be really dangerous. Avril is tough. I think he had 9.5 sacks last year? If we can put even more pressure on QB it should shore up an already solid D. I think we ended the season #2 in points per game allowed. Pretty exciting stuff.

We might be getting leon washington from u guys. (Well picking him up). I liked him when he played for the jets. Too bad pats couldn't get cribbs, i think hes going to AZ though. Victor cruz would look purtyyy good in a pats jersey, doubt that'll happen though... :(

They screwed up letting Welker go for 2 measly million dollars. They had the money to spend but just wanted to keep up the "Cold Hard Patriots" stance. Big mistake that will bite them. He went to a divisional rival too. Amendola is younger but is possibly more injury prone than Harvin :D

Leon is a solid person and player. I was sad to see him go.

    Denver is even scarier.

    Detroit made a mistake.

And ATL's running game just go an upgrade. Worried about their D though.

The patriots organization and brady made welker good. Before us he was "just some return guy" from miami. Danny will fill his place as long as he stays healthy. Dont forget welker went down with an acl injury too. (Courtesy of that ____, pollard). We also have edelman who can play that same position too. Welker may be good but whats the point of making 100catches during the season if you cant catch the one pass that wins the super bowl?

I think the pats messed up on Welker. They guy is solid and predictable. What more could you want. Sounded like him and Brady were close as well. That has to go along way with chemistry. I don't know why the pats are so tough to deal with it seems? Pay the man his money, you got Brady for a steal sign the guy you had 200+ catches over the past two seasons!

I agree with simple man. letting welker go and getting amendola was a huge mistake. he'll be out with a bad sholder before the seasons half over. and what about the ravens they give that chump flacco all that money. then send half the team packing. seatle is looking pretty scary with the new guys they got. and san fran added some nice pieces to an already loaded team too.

If brady is willing to take a pay cut, welker should be too. Brady is more important too. Welker is whipped. His wife is from denver, thats where they got married, she probably made him go to denver.

Once again. 200+ catches looks great, til you drop that super bowl winning catch... Just like how david tyree was a nobody and is a nobody now, but he caught that ONE catch that made him famous. Amendola will do well with the pats. If he gets injured edelman can step up.

Welker wasn't getting younger and they let him walk. I honestly thought eddleman was always a little better anyway. It's the our way, next man up. We won't miss him or his huge drops in key moments.

My Dolphins got alot better super happy to have Wallace and we still aren't done yet. Patriots should have signed Welker they will likely pay for it down the road..... Gonna call the Super Bowl right now

49ers vs Broncos 9ers win it!!!!

And I read a negative post about Flacco from in here, come on the Guy had one of the best post seasons we've ever seen the Guy is elite and proved it.

Flacco is a good qb but that's it good. paying him 20 mill a year and not signing good players because of it is a joke. did you watch the playoffs and superbowl. the ravens recievers made one insane catch after another. mostly because flacco was off target. just a rough guess without bolden catching them crazy balls over peoples backs and everything else. he woulda threw 10 pics and never woulda even made the superbowl.

Im a Chiefs fan and im SUPER stoked about the signings we've made! Upgrades at QB and DB. Getting Bowe to stay!
Andy Ried is doing big things and im so excited to see the next couple years.

To touch base on some of the other topics.. Pats are going to be fine without Welker. Brady has a tendancy to make anyone better at the WR position. And with the paycut Brady took dont be surprised if NE finally signs a respectable RB. This year or mext to help mix up the offense.

Baltimore is screwed! Paying Flacco all that money took away ANY chance they had at putting a team together that would compare to last seasons. They lost their Defensive captain, let a crap load of their other LBs go, and let the REAL SB MVP walk to the team they just beat! But only time will tell if Joe is worth that money or not (im saying NOT)

Seattle definitly got better! Man what an exciting team to watch last year! I cant wait to see them back at it again! Also the years to come, watching Russell Wilson vs Colin Kapernick face eachother at least twice a year every year! Could make for one of the best Division Rivalries ever!

Vikings traded harvin.... What else can I say we got Matt cassel (sp?) I feel like Im going to be throwing things this year but I cling to hope we had a good run after harvin was out last year so losing him won't kill us and just maybe we will make some smart picks on draft day. Vikings fan since I was born but they sure work hard to let me down lol

Guaranteed avril gets 10 sacks as a seahawk this year. Probably a few fumbles too. I wanna see them destroy the niners! Lol

Don't forget we do the BP.net Fantasy League every year! It's been a blast the past two seasons. We do a live draft and expect people to field a full team every week. Beyond that we don't have a bunch of expectations. Keep it in mind as the season approaches :)

Haha! The seahawks only have 4 picks in the draft unless they get a trade in so I am not holding my breath. I think Avril will be replacing Clemons full time here if not this season next season for sure. He will likely reach 10 or 12. I think with these pick ups they may be considering Irvin for trade value. Maybe get a draft pick for him??? I hope we crush the Niners but they picked up Boldin and hes a freak of nature who seems to have sticky fingers. He's always stealing those balls outta the air.

We need more crap talking and general shenanigans this year :D That aspect was lacking although everyone pretty much played all year which was nice. We can definitely have a deeper league. That makes it a bit tougher but it stays a blast. We had 6 teams last year but we can have as many as we want if we keep it in even numbers. I'll try to get invites out a bit earlier this year.

Mike and Rob you guys are CRAZY!!!
Wes Welker >>>>>>>>>> Amendola! And next year will prove it.
And the main reason Brady took the pay cut was to keep the key guys(Wes being one of them) in New England.
My Broncos have had a great free agency, besides this whole Dumervil crap that happened yesterday. Hopefully they will get that sorted out here quickly.
Now we just need to find a quality young RB in the draft and our offense will be more than complete.
We still need to add alittle more to our D, but with our Offense the D doesn't have to be Elite.

Who was welker before he came to New England? Can you answer that without googling it? He was a no name return man in miami. When he had a big game against the pats one time Bill decided he liked him. The New England way made welker good. Don't get me wrong, the potential was there, the belichick system just brought it out. Wes needs Tom more than Tom needs Wes. Don't worry, danny amendola will get his slice of Humble Pie and learn the ways. ;)

LOL. As a broncos fan you must be happy about the dumervil fiasco!

Yeah the Dumervil thing blows! Especially since he was willing to take a $4M pay cut and his agent royally screwed it up!

Yes I don know who Welker was before the Patriots(partly because you hear all about it when someone signs with your team) but I did know he played in Miami and went to Texas Tech already.
We could say that about alot of players that were no names coming into the NFL and they made a name for themselves.
And sure the system in New England helped turn Welker into what he has become, but it's not like he is going to a no name team with a subpar QB and system!
Amendola has done nothing besides get hurt and miss 60% of the games since he was drafted.
