"HOLY HUGE HOGNOSE BATMAN!"
Great pics!
What a beauty. I can't believe they only wanted $200.00 for that awesome looking Pastel het. Red AX. I have no interest in Axanthic, but that's one great looking snake. GOOGLY EYES!:O

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
Thanks for the pictures! There were some pretty animals there. That baby rattlesnake face! And that spider was way to freaking huge. No spidey's for me. Shoulda brought home that Aru...hmm, Aruslaw has a nice ring to it. ;)

WOW. That hog is HUGE! I want one now! LOL
Great pictures! Looks like fun.

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
I know, I loved that huge hognose.
I wanted the aru sooooo bad but I'm broke and don't have the space. One day I'll be GTPslaw!!
The pastel HRA was dope. HRA/ RA have nothing to do with regular axanthic, they're a codom with a confusing name.
Doolittle, the T I bought at the show gets about that big lol. Here's what it'll look like grown up, (google pic) http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/13/yse6usur.jpg

Awesome! Ugh I really want a tarantula. Ohh. And those retics ahhhh. And all those ball pythons! Yowza!
And boyfriend chests! :)
-
Awesome pics! I've never seen a hognose that big! Wow! Thanks for sharing.

that pastel HRA holy moly
And I really like your new ghost mantis. how long do they live for?

Around a year but they're neat and not very expensive. He said he'll have orchid mantids next year.

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
Much appreciated by those who couldn't make it or who don't live near by. Not much for hots, but that rattler in the beginning was absolutely ADORABLE! Someday when we don't live in friggin South friggin Dakota friggin nowhereland I will be glued to the expos. Oh yeah, adn I have to wait until the kids are older. Soooo I'll be stuck with the cheesy MN Expo..though one or two big name breeders are finally making it this year...
-
Thanks for the pics! Me and my bf went to this show in December and was really disappointed; was it a better turn out this time if you went to the first show?

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
Eh it was still a small show but there was some pretty nice stuff at a couple tables. I decided to go even figuring that the show would be small because I really hope that they continue to do shows in Phoenix, the more reptile shows the better imo and hopefully if ppl are attending the shows will get bigger. The real problem I'm beginning to have with Repticon shows is that at the fair grounds they charge for parking. I really feel your parking should be validated for the show, I mean the Repticon shows are already more expensive than any of our other shows here.

Hmmm maybe next year we'll have to head down again and see if the turn out gets better; we love the Phx Expo so it'd be nice to have two shows to go to every year. Yeah the parking fee was kinda funky :/

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
What part of AZ are you in? The Tucson show is usually really good. I loved that there were 4 shows in total this year between Phx, Tucson, and the 2 Repticons. I've always been jelly of all the shows they get on the East coast, they have like 1 every other month it seems!

Im loving that gtp and that super tiger retic. I don't want a snake that gets that big but retics are so cool.

I think she said somewhere before that shes in/near flag. Yea we get them pretty often between white plains, the new hampshire one, the Long island one, the one in Mass twice a year and sometimes a RI one.
-
Yea slendflaw, she is in Flag
-
Great pics!
It was still small, but definitely an improvement from the Nov show. I think over the next year or 2 it should become a pretty good show, but it's tough to say for sure with it being in March.
The Red Ax stuff that one table had was very nice stuff!
And the pair of Super Tiger Het Albino Titanium retics were awesome!

I'd love to go to the Tucson show since I hear it's good but it being a ~7 hr round trip seems like a lot of travel. Maybe one day! :P
-
Oh its not that bad :P make a mini vacation out of it !!

I like jelly but not the crap most people call jelly, really jelly is more jam-like anyway.

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
I like those strawberry PB&J "Uncrustables" by Smuckers. Perfect amount of both PB&J, they cut the crusts and you can just pop 'em in your mouth. I can eat a whole box. Well, I could until I found out I was diabetic

Great pics and thanks for sharing. That first ball python is actually a Red Axanthic not a het red. :D

HOLY CRAPOLA, I had no idea Hoggies even got that big!
Looks like there was some decent critters there though. The small ones around my area usually never have anything this eye catching. :P

Are you certain? The Madagascar kind don't really look like that one at all from what I'm seeing on Google, much darker animals. The one in the original post really just looks like a really big Western Hognose. :v

Im pretty sure westerns can't get that big. Coleslaw is tiny though so maybe shes throwing off the size ratio lol

Eh, I'm no expert on the Hogs but I'll stick to my guns that it's just one monster of a Western. Haha.

I did totally mislabel that, didn't I?

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
I think she was a western, they said she was just big and very old, like 8 years old. She was BIG, it wasn't just my tinyness lol. I've never seen one that big.
-
do me a favor and go to Filibertos for me :)

Re: Repticon Phoenix *DUW*

Western hogs range from 1-1.5 feet for males and about 2 feet for females. The Eastern hogs range in the 2 foot length with females getting around 2.5 feet in length. That Hog is not a Malagasy (Leioheterodon). Looks like a nice big Western female. Easterns are super hard to keep as they will normally only eat toads. Ones that have taken rodents end up with liver problems.

This is what I was guessing, but it still looks like a larger snake, never seen a hog that big, and I am taking into account the Coleslaw size skewing

Repticon Phoenix *DUW*
Well i seriously underestimated the size of hoggies lol. That thing could take down small rats lol
