Meet Epic... (Pic heavy)

Meet Epic! My 2012 Jayapura GTP :D . So he was much harder to photograph than I expected. He's so tiny, and I needed another hand. I need a display perch for my light tent. Once he gets older and bigger, and I can move him to a different perch, it will be easier. Lol, so I had his tub perch propped up for these pictures, and this is what you get for now. :p. This little guy is fast becoming a favorite, he is so cool to look at. I can't wait to watch him grow and change colors. Also, we don't know if its a male or female, I just started calling it a he.

Does anyone else see that face on top of his head...?

What a cutie! My boyfriend wants a gtp. Is that locality known to hold a lot of the blue coloration? I know some localities are known to be more docile than others... Is that the case with yours?

Great addition DooLittle. I am thinking my next addition may be something arboreal. GTP's are cool, but I like the variation in the colours of ATB's myself.

From what I have read, the Jaya's, Aru's, and Sorongs are supposed to be more docile, as well as the more blue ones. Sorong's were a bit harder to find. There are a million Biak's out there, but they don't seem to get the blues, and they seem to be the mean ones. My little guy seems docile so far, but he isn't old enough to hold yet. :)

And I absolutely agree! I love it! :D

I see the mad face but i saw a happy face first. I the second to last pic you can see the happy face. The "eyes" are on the top of the head/beginning of the neck.

Looking good!!! Do you have pictures of the parents by chance?

My little guy is a year and 6 months or so now... and I still can't handle him XD He is way too nippy. :( Maybe one day...lol. In the meantime I have 20 something other snakes to handle :P

He seems pretty docile so far, but I have only been in there to change water, mist, and feed. I'm not going to try to hold him until he is closer to a year old, I don't want to hurt him. No pictures of parents :(. I've got my fingers crossed he turns out pretty. I got him from Ryan at Clockwork, and he doesn't breed them, he gets his babies from Bushmaster.
