Well blitz are pretty easy to identify, this is definitely far from a blitz, but I do like the animal tho. Just surprised someone would sell it as a blitz.

I kinda did not think it was. I was not familiar with the markings it should have, and the price was right (well not right for a normal but good for what it was claimed to be). The thing that bugs me is I think I might have been given some false info. The guy I got it off of is a decent sized breeder (200+ animals, seen him at a few shows, etc.) He said that he bought it from one of the larger breeders in the country (name withheld as I have no way to verify they sold it as such so I don't want to drag their name into it)..Even went as far as to go through his paperwork and show me a receipt from when he bought it from them (guess that is not hard to fake though). Really don't want any small normal females so this gal shall probably go the way of craigslist. Live and learn :)

if the very big breeder that you dont want to mention is one of those that keeps record + photo of every single snake he ever produces, then you could ask that breeder if this is one of the Blitz he produced and sold. That could be a way to tell if the second, smaller breeder did tell the truth or lied to you.

Well, that question is pretty easy to answer. Only one person has produced any blitz so far.. And this didn't come from them. Only a few breeders are in the project currently, so it's pretty easy to know this "breeder" who sold it is not legit.

Why CL? I'm sure someone would like her to dink around with. I like the look of her, almost like a black pastel look going on on a few spots. Where in pa are you located? I might be interested if your close I'm in NY, if the price is right.

I think I might know who you got it from. There was a guy at a local show here that had a bunch of stuff labeled as morphs, yet they were all unproven and not labeled as such. He didn't try to mention that too much though.

I know this thread is old but does anyone think they might be able to give me a little better idea as to what she is (if she is not just a normal..which she might just be) if I post some new photos (she has changed in looks a little (some bright yellow lines are starting to come out) / some outdoor photos)?

I would have guessed blitz, or similar morph, but don't know. Definitely post some more pics. Outside pics and indoor.

Telling us who the breeder is would help. Susan Hardy is really the only one selling them right now, and she is the originator. Out side that, only a handful of folks have them. If you did not pay thousands of dollars for her, then it is def a too good to be true scenario. Blitz (and Trick) are still rare and very expensive. There is some variability from animal to animal, but from my understanding, the overall business of pattern and belly are still there.
I like how that girl of yours look though, I just hope you paid no where near proven morph price for her without some proven lineage. I would still keep her though, she is sweet looking.

Not saying she is but she looks Blitzy to me, each animal has variations and even the originator had to get theirs from some where. Whether they only let a select few go or not in no way does that mean your bp can't be one also. The only way to find out for sure is to breed her. If she were mine she would be on the dinker list.

I assume the silence = 100% normal lol. She is plumping up fast and 2014 should be a good year for her...2013 if she packs on about 400g more in the next 5 months.

it looks like a fun Dinker. I also think you are doing the Ball community a disservice by not divulging who you got her from. If it was sold as a possible morph, that is one thing. If it was
labeled a Blitz, and it is not, I think the buying public should be told who is selling Dinkers as Morphs. The belly looks clean, the Blitz bellies seem to be busy.

I guess it would not kill me to say who I got it from. The name he goes by is "Reasonable Reptiles" and he is located in Bloomery WV. His exact words (yes I have the e-mails saved) "Hello the females i have right now consist of a pastel granite that is around the 200 gram mark and i am asking xxx,i have some desert girls that range from xxx-xxx and wieght about 200 gram mark,a blitz ball female for xxx" I bought it and ended up with a nice dinker lol

It's not even close to being a blitz and if you overpaid, I'd notify the breeder for a refund or write a BOI thread. Completely unacceptable.
