Hanging out. :)
I was watching snakebytesTV and I could see Thor watching me. I took him out, sat down and he immediately posted up near the laptop. Apparently he's a fan. :)

I did! He didn't even comment. He must be really busy because he typically responds. :/

He's been kind of testy with me and off feed. :/ I've been working with him more often since I noticed this and he is calming down.

So I purchased my BP as a Pastel but I've been looking at what people are indicating as Het. Indicators. I still am not versed in spotting any of these and I was curious if anyone could tell me if my BP is Het. for anything. Would love to know if he/she is a dinker for if I ever get to breed as I hope to in the future. Thanks in advance. :)

Well, for the most part, you bought yours as a morph from a breeder. Therefore you should know what the parents are, and the breeder should know who their parents are. Which would mean you could know any possible het it has.
This is not always the case though, I do have a female that I don't know the lineage and she has some DEFINITE markers (of a co-dom gene). But it can't be confirmed until breeding.
I'm not good at het markers, whatsoever. To me, there are too many variences in all morps/normals. There are a couple that have some pretty big markers. But hets to me are too sketchy to really know besides those.
Some people will chime in if they see any markers. I'm not Trying to be pessimistic but just stating reality as I see it
Beautiful snake btw =)

Thank you. I don't expect to find anything but there are so many people on her with a plethora more knowledge pertaining to the hobby then myself. The reason I do not know anything about my BP's lineage is because he is what I consider a rescue of sorts. I bought him from petco when I saw him rail thin and in a bad shed. He was the only pastel in a 12x12x12 tiny display case with 3 other BP's which where all Mojave's. when I told one of the sales associates that the little runt of a BP wasn't looking to good she said that oh that's just because he's in shed and she planned on "peeling him later"....! Although I really wanted to buy directory through a reputable breeder I couldn't leave my little guy to be peeled like a banana and stressed to death so I brought him home. So that's why I'm unclear on his lineage. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is what he looked like after day after I got him to feed for the first time. Had to let him settle in a couple days before I messed with him at all.

It looks like you got him out of a bad situation and he looks very good now!
I completely understand not knowing the lineage, I was just trying to name the possibilities (because either I missed the details or they weren't stated).
Personally I'm seeing a normal pastel. But don't take that to heart, I have only been into BP morphs for a few years (and only strongly within the last year and a half). With unknown parents there could be anything in there, it's just a small chance

I changed up Thor's setup. Decided to drop in a little lagoon and waterfall.
Took a couple pics!

That is one super sexy Pastel! For a pet store pickup, I think you got a smashing deal. His blushing is fantastic along his back. Unfortunately, without breeding trials or definite signs of het markers, there is no way to know what Thor could be het for. From what I can see of him (I did look through all the pics, great photography, btw!), he doesn't look like he'd be specifically het for anything. Then again, I am definitely no expert on BP hets and so I could not say for definite sure. Without a doubt, you definitely saved this little guy, because his earliest pic made me cringe. Congrats on a really beautiful guy!

Thank you. I would like to take a shot at breeding in a year or so. I'm still learning, and researching but I think I should have a decent handle on the overall process when I do finally decide to dive in. I definitely would like to try and breed Thor. :)

My little one shed a few days ago so I thought I would post the pics I snapped of her today during are hangout session. The pictures where taken with my phone so they aren't great. Enjoy. :)

Awesome snake. Congrats on the rescue and rehab. He is looking a lot better than that earlier pic after the first feeding.

Thank you. He's an awesome BP. I think the problem they where having when I picked him up is feeding him f/t. He will not take f/t whatsoever and I don't think they where willing to switch him to live. :/ it's fine by me. It's a little more work but he's absolutely worth it. I still try and offer f/t from time to time but he's doesn't even seem to react to it. That being the case I have to supervise every feeding. It typically takes less then a minute or two for him to snag up live though so I can't complain. :) I'm not absolutely positive but I'm fairly sure he is actually a she. Me and the gf have renamed him Pi since then but I still have to get him probed to know for certain. I popped but she is large enough to control her tail muscles well enough to have made it difficult. She had no visible hemipenes and scent glands along the side. One again I would like to have a professional probe to be sure but until then we feel the name Pi is a neutral enough name. :)

Pi popped her head out to say hello. She seemed content to lounge like this so I took the opportunity to snap a pic. :)
