Why I love New Hampshire and New England! Lots of Pics! (NH, ME)
Got out on the trails for the first major time this year and the weather was perfect and wanted to share some pics :D I love New England since I am a midwestern boy at heart. The mountains make me melt and wanted to share some pics. We ran into a nice group of ice climbers who allowed me to take some pics while they loved on my dogs. Enjoy!

Photo bombed by my own dog's ass haha!

I'm originally from the Midwest, now living in NE. You like it here??? Tyrannically horrible drivers, high taxes, rude to the point of wouldn't piss on ya if you were on fire people, the god-awful accent,... NE isn't all it's cracked out to be. By far.

Don't tempt me to post all my Boston pics with the early colonial architecture :) I grew up in Missouri, and the differences are drastic!!!

Are you living in Massachussetts? I don't have anywhere near that experience in my 8 years in New Hampshire and Maine and I work at 13 locations read across MA, NH, & ME. MA indeed fits your description....but LOVE New Hampshire, Maine, & Vermont. Gotta love the outdoors but the options are endless: hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and on and on. And I find the people up in the north very friendly and our traffic congestion runs 75mph lol. I spend three days a week in Boston so appreciate that part of the frustration lol. Come join me for a hike sometime!

Nope. Seacoast, NH. Worst part of the country, if ya ask me. Almost got into 4 head on collisions the other night coming home from work. That was just ONE day, too. Complete douche bag part of the country. Period. Kansas City or Texas bound.

Well, to each their own I guess. you couldn't pay me to go back to the Midwest or STL. Visit every 2 years and that's enough for me :gj: Enjoy the Midwest for me! Honestly surprised you dislike NH that much, I don't see any of what you are saying but enjoy moving back!

Ah yes, the cost of living is much much higher, no denying that. House shopping now for some land and house, and no doubt it is sky high compared to STL. But some things are worth a price premium IMO :gj: Still hit less with taxes though

I'm blown away you have nothing negative to say about "Manchvegas". That town is bad news...

Eh, every state has a "bad news" and if Manchester the worst I'll take it. I'll walk any day in Manchester over inner city STL. Admittedly, I experienced the worst the Midwest had to offer with multiple drive by shootings (my best friend was killed as an innocent bystander in one) and incredible violence in my high school that just burned me put on St. Louis and the type of people on the Midwest. However, I know not to generalize the region by this violence, as I spent time in KC, Southern MO, Arkansas, Illinois, etc and there are some fine people in that part of the country. Not at all for me though by any means and I will never move back. The only other parts of the country I would even consider would be Portland, OR and Colorado. The people of New England are private by nature but awesome people once you get to know them (exceptions as is everywhere). I just love everything New Hampshire and New England have to offer and the life I have built here.

CHEERS! If you want to grab a beer before you run at the expo let me know haha. Live free or die!

You must live in some niiiice-ass area, then. We've been practically run off the highway by flagrant drivers, hit & runs in our own parking lot, friends have had guns shoved in their faces walking home at night. Anywhere is everywhere. You'll see.

We also pay $1000 + utilities to rent a 2 bedroom apt. to "keep away from the trash"...

    Good luck.

'' Wow, unreasonable generalizations about all of NH, and the entire 6 states of New England. I don't live in a nice ass area (North of Concord) and have lived in several areas of NH including Manchester, Loudon, Concord, Boscawen, etc. I don't think I will see, as I have been here 8 years (no idea how long you have) and have yet to see. I saw far worse in Missouri, and yet still know there are good parts to that area too. I recommend you relocate, the hatred seems unfair. No point arguing, as you will still hate it and I will still love it and nothing we will say will change that. Have a good night, thanks for the input. Not the intention of the OP to inflame hatred

Unreasonable? Haha, given the areas you listed off, sure! 9 years, guy. Yes, STL, DET & So. CHI. are the "big-ones", but don't think you're in Mayberry.

Yep, unreasonable. I don't pay anything more monthly then you do, so living location is a personal choice as it is in any area. Given the areas I listed off....didn't you mention Manchester as the "bad news" and I never saw any of what you are describing....and I was not in a nice area. I love New England, the people, and what New England offers. I said before....it's not for everyone and have no qualms that you don't like it. Shouldn't bother you one bit that that I do and I want to share it, and if you don't like it you should relocate. Same if you move and love it, I would expect the same enthusiasm. Thanks pal

Seriously? You can't make generalizations about a whole region like that. Thats like me saying all thats in the midwest is corns fields, meth labs and people who attempt to copulate with farm animals. Are you sure nothing from that generalization describes you...?
