Have just closed (yesterday) on a building and we're opening up a restaurant this summer! Is our second place after selling our steakhouse a few years ago. Is called "Carmelita's Southwest Bar & Grille". Will have smokin' food and a great bar. Plans are to open around august as we are going to remodel the joint. So anybody from bp.net that finds themselves in the way way way north of Michigan someday can come in for free margaritas from your good friend Steelsack! Just say the password: "Herping makes me thirsty"! We'll get goobered and try to find some garter snakes...........

Thanks, guys I'm pretty stoked. Waiting for liquer licenses and closing dates can be nerve-wracking....just glad everything's finally a go! Seemed to take forever. Signed the purchase agreement last november, and the liquer license took eight months!
gozetec, I'm sending you good juju 8)

I know what you mean about nerve-wracking. I put in an offer on a house today and I think I might rupture something waiting to find out if my offer is accepted. The thing is, the house went on the realtor listing service this morning, and by the time I put my offer in this afternoon, there were already 4 other offers for the house, so I am definitely tied up in knots waiting to find out.

Thanks, y'all. I just got the news about half an hour ago that my offer came in 2nd. So now will everyone send vibes so that whoever came in first won't qualify for a mortgage and I'll get the house after all? ;) They have until June 11 to close or I get my chance, but I can't leave that offer open and put in an offer on another house (and I've looked at almost all the other houses in the area in my price range, or the agent has for me, and this was the nicest by a long shot), and I just don't have much time. Aaaarrrggghhh! </venting> Anyway, I am very glad for you, Steelsack, that your work and patience have started to pay off for you.
