I put her in her other enclosure(rubbermaid) while I was cleaning her cage and she escaped  I turned the apartment upside down and cant find her :x I've set traps for her around the house and hopefully I will find her tonight  I miss her sooooo much
Anyone got any ideas on particular spots to look?

HELP! I LOST HISSY!!!
Damn, that sucks man. I hope you find her soon. Don't worry, she'll turn up.

I dont know if this will help u but anytime me or my friend lost a snake it always ended up under a heater or somewere warm.. They will go to the warmest place possible.. When i lost my ball I found him a week later crawling from out under my heater.. It might be a good idea to find him quick. This is a good way for your snake to get sick. Try looking under tiny openings.. It might be some work to get him out , and u might have to take apart some things.. good luck =|

Oh no!! That's terrible. I hope you find her asap. Keep us posted. What kind of traps did you set?
-
I'm sorry, Raj! Good luck finding her!

I put shoe boxes in every room with a rat in it. Thanks for the kind word guys. I don't know what I would do without her

Jojo got out once. I know it sounds funny but if you cage is near any cabinets check inside them. Jojo escaped twice. Both times i found him in the kitchen cabinets. They will not willingly crawl out into the open so check along the edge of the walls. Then go from there. Look in your sofa. Basicly if they can get thier heads in there they can get in. I hope this helps and good luck.

Dig through the bathroom too - I misplaced a few in the days of my youth and 2 out of 3 times they'd made their way into the bathroom (warmth/humidity/water "scent" i guess). The third one did indeed go right into the heat vents (but Hissy's no doubt too big for that).

whenever one of mine gets loose, it always turns up in the weirdest spot... like a cold , dry place.
-
That really sucks, Raj! Don't ever give up...I'm sure she'll turn up when you least expect it!
-
Try not to get too stressed Raj, I know it is hard when your friend is about in the house and you have no idea of her security or safety. I have had a couple escape once, my Dad, who lives with us, found my second oldest bp cruising the kitchen in the early AM later that day, and the baby, was out for a week and a half, we found him on the shelf just under his home. Not sure how he got there, since we turned the house upside down looking.. but the point is, they do show up eventually, and with the weather being warmer (at least it should be where you are) it should relieve a bit of stress on your part. Just keep your eyes open. Good luck!

Just make sure that if there are any unsafe places, such as under a fridge (near its blades) or in a dryer, inside the innards of your sofa and living-room chairs, etc, that you check them thoroughly. Look out for any open heating or air conditining vents too. When my original BP got out, sadly we overlooked her; she had been hiding in the rafters of our basement, got there through an open heating duct, and froze to death. If we looked a bit more thoroughly, we may have found her the morning she got out. So I would suggest going over every place, thoroughly. I now it is a daunting task, but time is of the essence. I wish you better luck than I had. :(

Still havn't found her yet :(
-
Remember, Bo Peep was missing for like 2 weeks before he slithered across my foot, so don't give up hope!
-
I just hope she is okay. I couldn't sleep one wink last night! I stayed up with a flash light hoping to find her :(
-
Did you check in the bottom upholstery of couches and chairs etc? That cheesy little swag of fabric covering the bottom of a lot of couches/chairs usually has small openings near the legs I could easily see a BP crawling up into.
-
I checked everywhere :( I think I will wait and see if she comes out within a week or two when she gets hungry. I hope she gets hungry for her sake. I will be one sad human if something happens to her
-
My big female was just loose for a week! Thank god we found her! She was behind my dresser by the baseboard heater. Thank god she didn't strangle my kitten, I was so worried! I know she won't eat the kitten, but she is big enough to kill her. But she is found, nice and safe & securer!!

I hope I find my girl soooon. I miss her sooo much!

I'm going to do spring cleaning kinda thing tommorow. Hopefully I will find her then.

Q: Breeding Feeders
It must be an awful feeling having your pet lost, but don't give up hope. She will come out when she gets hungry, hopefully you will find her then.
-
Hiya Raj , Just heard the news , keep us posted man, I hope she shows up soon.
-
I declare open war on finding her :x Every room is gonna have a water bowl and a cage with a live Gerbil in it!! Lets see her try and resist this one! I just hope she has not found a way to get out of the apartment  In which case all hope will be lost...unless I hear the neighbors screaming their heads off
-
Ok so I went to Petco and that Gerbil was so cute and friendly :? So it was down to getting small hopper mice! Keeping my scales crossed.
-
Good luck!! When I had a snake loose (story had a bad ending... we found him too late) I left an f/t rat on a heating pad to see if he'd come back. The next morning, I found a half eaten rat... mice had gotten it. It wa the most disgusting thing I have ever seen... sorry for the gross story, lol. Again, good luck!!! I hope she turns up!

Raj,
Does your apt have a basement or furnance room, cellar etc.?
Try looking down there if that is the case.
Warm , dark, humid, no people and more than likely some type of food source. Prefect place.
-
I've looked everywhere..sigh. Can someone tell me if a BP that is about 26inches and fat can crawl under the crack of a door? The apartment does have a boiler room kinda deal, but the crack under the door is less than a quarter of an inch.

I dont know but I sure would go down there and look, better to be safe then sorry.
