My snake lifted her anal plate and i saw what seemed to indicate she was a girl. Help
so i just got a new BP and i was transfering her to the box to the tank and i saw her female parts im pretty sure. I have seen pictures comparing male vs female. Is this possible without being probed?

x2 - I actually picked up a 'female' who ended up being a male, because 'Sheba'/'Slim Shady' showed characteristics of being a girl... :) Only way to tell for sure is the reproductive organs

Is there really any point to sex your snake if your not breeding them besides curiosity?

:P Nope! On some species of lizards and frogs, only males have spurs (I can think of Chameleons off the top of my head)... but as far as BPs, they all do, unless they fall off throughout their life (which is okay and 'normal' too).
