First lock

I bought a male cinnamon from mike at white plains. Hes 950grams I fed him a 55gram rat Sunday night. I paired him with my 1900gram normal female yesterday at 6pm. Check them at 2am nothing. Checked again at 6am and saw this.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/28/y4e6ehys.jpg

Now I know I should quarantine but I got it from mike so I trust he's healthy.

Glad he ate for you, that must have been what his problem was last week lol.

When i took the pic at 6am they broke apart. I was 75% sure they were locked at 11am when I left for school and they're still locked.

They were locked at 2am. How long should I keep them together? Take him out Sunday and feed him? Pair him again on Wednesday? Does that sound like a good schedule?

When I know they have locked, I will separate once they are done and give the male 3 days to rest with a large mouse offered once a week. Sometimes they wont eat when breeding, or will eat for the first few weeks of pairing, but ill offer until they stop. Congrats!

I've been pairing since Dec. 1st and I haven't even seen an ovulation yet lol.

I know it take awhile but it about 60 days to eggs after ovulation right?

Mine take about 45-50: 10-14 for post ovy shed, then another 30-35 til eggs.

So 70 days of pairing before ovulation the 50 days to eggs. That would be eggs in June. Right?

Unless you know when that female usually cycles due to good records or personal experience with her, the number of days from starting pairing until ovulation is a straight-up guess.

Thats why j said 70 days as a ballpark. Shes a vergin.

Its not really something you can predict. If you get eggs in only 3 months ill be pissed because I've been pairing for 3 months and haven't even seen an ovy yet lol.

I wish I could get eggs in 70 days! One female has been pairing since October 1st and the other since January 1st and no signs of ovy yet.
