New Jersey newbie here

I just wanna say what an awesome forum this is... Currently no reptiles in the house yet. I used to have a garter snake and turtles when i was a kid and it was alot of fun. Im really interested in acquiring a pet snake again. Now im in the process of doing my research and this forum is very informative. I cant wait for the NY white plains reptile show this sunday to check out the snakes in person. Anyone from NJ??

Thanks for the warm welcome... I was looking at the corns and the ball python but really interested in the ball pythons. I haven't really seen or held quality ones so im really looking forward to sundays reptile show.

I've been to both White Plains and Hamburg and I prefer Hamburg much better. More compact and crowded, but cheaper to get to and more to choose from.

:O I live in NJ and I'm so glad I read this because I've been looking for a reptile expo to go to and I couldn't find one. I am definitely going tomorrow! :D

There is also an expo in Havre de Grace MD that isnt too far , March 2nd is the next show.

There are 2 reptile shows in NJ next weekend April 6th in Parsippany and 7th in Teaneck.

We will be vending at the Parsippany one. And hanging out at Teaneck one.

Technically not, I lived in Rhode Island for most of my life though, moved down here to Tennessee.

If I had a choice of corns over bp's... I would totaly go for the bp's. Corns are great but are very squirmy, bp's on the other hand are very calm and are content on just hanging around on you chilling (:

Also when corns are little you have to feed them pinkie mice which are quite hard to find, and if the snake doesnt eat it it will die and smell HORRID. But little bp's can eat adult mice which if not eatin can be kept in a seperate cage easily.:D
