Concerts!
So I'm seriously beyond excited. Tomorrow I get to see Marilyn Manson! I know he's getting old and I've heard he's not so great in concert, but I can say I've definitely seen almost ALLy favorite bands.
My first concert was Good Charlotte. I can't explain the connection I have with them, but their songs have literally saved my life.
Second was Hawthorne Heights. I went because a friend needed someone to go with her and no one else could.
Thirdly, RAMMSTEIN! Epic.. epic. Floor seats, and we were right at the bars. It was ridiculous with lots of pyro work! They set a guy on fire!!!!
Now MM!
What concerts have you all seen? Which were your favorites?
-
Man.. I always go to like, the metal and hardcore fests.. There's a lot in New England where I live. Warped tour this year was awesome.. Last show I went to I seen Attila for the first time and well, they suck live but I still like their stuff.

Re: Concerts!
Going to see Volbeat at the diamond ballroom on March 7th. Can't wait!
-
I've seen soo many.
However, I'm seeing Sigur Ros on March 30th and from what people have been telling me, they will most definitely take the cake.
-
Concerts!
Oh I also saw Theory of a Deadman haha
-
I've been to way too many to list, but here are the really memorable ones:
- Periphery
- Rush
- Symphony X
- Devin Townsend
- Septicflesh
- BTBAM
- Nile
- Behemoth
- Dimmu Borgir
- Dream Theater
- The Human Abstract

Re: Concerts!
Dethklok was by far the best show I have ever seen. The Black Dahlia Murder, Machine Head, All That Remains, and Dethklok... all under one roof. Oh yeah, and the bartender was boss! My brother and I had what should've been a $600 tab that was considerably less. The Tabernacle in ATL is the place to be. Well worth the 8 hour drive.

Re: Concerts!
I'm old so I have seen too many to list but here are a few.
Let's start with the 70's:
- Alice Cooper
- Bob Segar
- ELO
- Boston
- Supertramp
- Genesis
In the 80's:
- REM
- B-52's
- Hall & Oates
- Huey Lewis
I had children in the 90's so there was a lull. However, I did take my daughters to:
In the 2000's my girls were getting older so went with them to:
-
I got to see Metallica on their Death Magnetic tour in Detroit, Michigan. By far the best concert I have seen.
Would love to see Volbeat on the Canadian leg of their tour this spring, but unfortunately have a work tripped planned while they are in my area. :(

Re: Concerts!
No country fans here? I like all music and love going to concerts but I'm embarrassed I've never heard of half those bands. Last concert was Carrie Underwood and yes I'm a dude but my wife loves her and there is great people watching if you like chicks in cowboy boots!
-
I saw Ian Tyson last August :P Still a great performer in his 70's
Also saw Bob Dylan this past winter, ok show, but hard to understand his singing at points.
-
Oh geez, I couldn't even begin to name half the concerts I have been to. Locals band, forget, hundreds.
Quick list off the top of my head:
Huey Lewis And The News & Three Dog Night (First concert I remember going to with my parents as a kid)
Styx & REO Speedwagon
Ted Nugent & Foghat
Cheap Trick & 38 Special (Saw them from the roof of a bus station during a layover I had. They were playing an outdoor show nearby. They sucked)
Godsmack (Fantastic live)
Turbid North (Dozens of times. I grew up with these guys)
Megadeth (Worst concert I ever went to. Dave Mustaine picked a fight with an audience member during the first song and stormed off stage for 20 minutes while the band played on. Then throughout the rest of the show he talked trashed about my home town and the folks that live there. Real jerk!)
Elton John (Just him and his piano. It was all that was needed. A true artist)
Flyleaf
Opeth & Katatonia (Opeth are amazing live!)
Children Of Bodom, Eluvietie, Revocation & Threat Signal
Upcoming:
Flyleaf & Drowning Pool on March 6th at the House Of Blues Cleveland
Opeth & Katatonia on May 12th at the House Of Blues Cleveland

Re: Concerts!
Aerosmith
George Strait
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
Haven't been to one in years though. I love music, but concerts are so dang expensive. Lol, two out of three I was given tickets for, the other was with my mom and grandma when I was young. I just don't spend money on concerts.

Re: Concerts!
Christ...waaaaaaaay to many to count. Everything from basement punk/Oi! shows to arenas. Favorites, probably Behemoth (twice), Danzig, The Templars, Cocksparrer, MOTORHEAD, Duane Peters/US Bombs... I'd love to see Skeletonwitch, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Over Kill & Megadeth. Mustaine is a complex individual who has no time for idiots. Gotta love him!

Sigur Ros should be great! My first concert was seeing Jonsi, and that was incredible. Great visuals, crazy sets, and I'm a fan of Sigur Ros material in general
-
lol dude! I'm seeing MM on the 21st in Los Angeles! Going to rock/metal concerts is one of my hobbies to see my favorite bands! I record most/all the shows entirely which are up on youtube(which I'm about to post one in the off topic section). I've even seen and recorded full Rammstein shows from 2011 and 2012!! I've seen all kinds of bands: Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Rammstein, Muse, AC/DC, Van Halen, Scorpions, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, Linkin Park, Testament, Overkill, Incubus, Kansas, Foreigner, Journey, Poson, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard, Motorhead, Volbeat, Judas Priest, Steel Panther, Motley Crue, Machine Head, Dethklok, Napalm Death, Municipal Waste, and the list goes on and on! as you can see from my signature, I've got shows lined up and a couple that i still have to get tickets to! I'm off to a great start this year and waiting to see who else shows up!

Re: Concerts!
Ive been to alot of concerts, but I must say Manson was a major dissapointment. He was one of those 'bucket list' bands for me. He rushed his set, and i very well belived he lip synced most all of it, and I felt as if we were waisting his time. Hopefully yours goes better :)

I like country! But I've only been to a few concerts..mostly ones my mom has dragged me to :( The most recent being Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. Not my favorite.
The last concert I went to was Kimbra and she was AWESOME!!!!!!
Before that... man I haven't been to many concerts.. Bassnectar, Benny Benassi, Rihanna, Ke$ha, Muse, Silversun Pickups.
That is really it. I hope to catch Macklemore the next time he goes on tour. That is really the only artist I want to see live at the moment.
-
I've been to so many, but Avenged Sevenfold was my first big concert and they were... amazing. Better live than recorded and insane stage presence! Anberlin is also amazing live.
Going to see Marianas Trench in May, so excited!
