    Boa tub size
So I'm thinking of getting a female arabesque boa that's about 4.5' at this current time. I have everything I need except the tub. I have been doing my research for a bit but the topic of tub/cage size always ends up with various answers. Can someone help me out?

You may be able to get by with a 41qt or larger tub but honestly id go straight for a 4-6 foot viv for her. I recommended 6' for Colombian females.

I would suggest to just get a 4*2*1 enclosure right from the start since she had good size already.

You might get a better deal if you buy the package but you might be taking a risk buying poss hets and hets if you wanna breed in the future. But if you like them, then go for it:D

If you like them and can get a package deal/discount I'd say go for it. Arabesque are one of my favorite boa morphs! I keep my sub adult bci's and my dumerils boas in iris ve-175w tubs. They are Xmas tree totes that measure 52 5/16 l x 20 5/16 w x 14 5/16 t with the lid. Without they are only 12 tall.

I know I'm taking a risk on the hets but he's only asking $440 for the two boaphiles and snakes, plus the odds and ends he has. I don't think it's that bad a deal since the arabesque is worth more than that already.

I have to talk to the fiancé about it first but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. Hoping the roads are nice tomorrow and I can make the trip. I've wanted a boa for so long! My dream is finally coming true!

I don't think boamaster cages are bad I was just clarifying. I love the arabesque. I'm just waiting for my fiancé to get up so we can talk about it and hopefully she will see it how I do and make the drive with me. I just to back from the bank with the money so if she agrees with me ill be ready to roll!

So I ended up not going. My fiancé didn't think it was a good idea. Ill get some boas in the future for sure but right now I should really be trying to save my money.

awww the things we do (dont do) in the name of love... lol Depending on the comfort level and expierence taking on adult boas can be intimidating especialy if shes not really into snakes. I would suggest getting a baby and allowing them to grow together. then theres less debate when you find a deal like this again. Just wish it was closer to me. i'd be on my way to get them. the wife would be holding the bags to keep them warm until we got home. lol Shes more of an addict than me.

I had a rack built by "grits" last year that holds 12 CB-110's.

I need to get pics of the rack, etc... for Beanie, just been stupid busy.

    I got the CB-110's from reptiletubs.com

    Kevin,
I read down in the thread. If I were you, I'd get the 2 cages and snakes. Cages are expensive! Also the cb-110 tubs I refered to are for my juvenile boas, my holdbacks/grow ups.
I use 4 foot cages for my adult boas right now and plan on have some bigger cages being built, probably 6'.

Let us know what you decide.

    LOL, read down some more.
    You ain't doing it. LOL

Probably for the best right now.

Boas get big! Be glad you have a future wife that lets you have a snake!

Oh and save up for that special boa! Boas are one of the best snakes to keep as pets!
