    Genetic stripes.....not enough love.
I feel like they are hardly talked about here and I hardly see people putting up pics of them.
I think it's an awesome morph, maybe I'm just missing the convos but I don't see a whole lot of talk abut them.
Ps if you have one lets see it!

I know I have seen a few nice ones. Trying to remember who had them. I think Jinx might have one.

Here's a male that I'm trying to get breeding right now, a pastel yellow belly genetic stripe. I love this combo...

I agree, I LOVE the stripey snakes. The pastel lesser G-stripe was nuts! I think they've kind of been replaced by the yb stripe complex for the most part though :( Imo hypo and G-stripe are both underrated, but esp G-stripe as hypo gets a bit more love. I'd love to get into G-stripes but honestly I'm a bit worried it would be difficult to sell the hatchlings I produce :/

    I have a Super Stripe.

I think the the G-stripe kinda got pushed aside when the Super Stripe and other YB complex animals blew up.

There are some great looking G-Stripes out there, but they are kinda low on the "hot to work with" recessive line up. I do really think that someone working hard with them could unlock some neat stuff given the time and the right mix of genes.

The silver one is Red Axanthic Genetic Stripe; Het Red Genetic Stripes are more of a gold color.
The pic below is Gstripe, HRA Gstripe, RA Gstripe.

I really like the genetic stripe! I wish they had more interest. I would love to work with them one day. However, I'd hate to waste money on producing something that doesn't sell. When I have the money to just "play around" then I will certainly invest.

BTW: those HRA and RA combos are WICKED.

If I can hit some decent odds this year, I'll be looking at a decent year for Genetic Stripes. I personally like the Genetic Stripes over a lot of the Super Stripe stuff, but I'm the guy that's trying to make everything darker while everyone else goes in the opposite direction lol.

    This years Stripe potential....
    Lesser Cinny het x Stripe
    Woma het x Stripe
Lesser Cinny het x Woma het
and a looooong shot of Red Stripe that's 25% het x Pastel Stripe

I think the g stripe is awesome on its own. The lesser g stripe is pretty cool as well as the pastel. I bet the enchi stripe will turn the tables, but everyone knows that enchi just makes magic happen :gj:! I want to see the g stripe clown. I really really really like the g stripe spider, but you can get that look with other combos such as sable spider, or chocolate spider. no need for the recessive direction.. I'm sure something will come along and give the g-stripe a good push! The solid color snakes are cool at first glance, but it's kindof a dead end which is a turn-off for people looking to expand on a project. That's why I'm not into champs or other patternless snakes :P.

I heard that the g-stripe ate the clown gene so much they won't show it, maybe because they won't be able to sell the double hets if they did :confusd:

Just guessing, it would suck to take 3-4 years to produce a g-stripe clown just to see a snake that looks like a g-stripe :(

I love genetic stripe, and one of our double recessive projects (the others being Candied Clown and Lightning Pied) is a Clown Genetic Stripe which I have yet to see.

    I absolutely love G-Stripes!
And have big plans for our female in the future; 1st being Lesser/Butter or Lesser/ButterBee G-Stripes!
The Lesser G-Stripe is the main reason we got into them, but that is just the tip of the iceberg of where we want to go with it now!
    Her is our 2012 girl!

I'm a fan of G-stripes. They seemed to have taken a back seat to all the YB stripe stuff...it'll be a few years, but they'll come back around as the market floods with their inc. dom counterparts.

You took that snippit of quote WAY out of context. As a young breeder, trying to get my name out there with quality animals, I cannot afford to invest in something that will sit on my racks...that defeats the purpose. I LOVE genetic stripes ever since I saw the lesser genetic stripe. However, I need to build up a monetary reservoir so I can invest in that kind of project. Once I get into a pattern of selling of my babies and can afford it, I'll start on a genetic stripe project. I just cannot do one now to the scale I would like.

Here's one of those ones that I kind of regret selling cause I wonder what she would have been capable of producing, but I really don't like G-Stripe combos, so eh...I'll live.
Definitely a super nice example though. I always wondered if she somehow had Fire in her.

I agree the g stripe got push aside with the super stripe. I think it's possible it will come back around as it makes some nice combos. I just had 4 eggs hatched from a lesser pastel x g-stripe
