FEDEX delayed shipping in Memphis.

My first reptile in 20 years, Priority Overnight and it's stuck in Memphis TN. Took the day off of work.

Virgina to Florida. Gravid Volta 3000g. I'm pissed.

Has this happened to anyone else today?

When I clicked on the package tracker today in large red letters, due to inclimate weather expect possible delays.

Considering the storm system moving through the Southeast last night/right now (flooding in Memphis, one dead in Nashville), shipping probably wasn't the best idea. If she's being held at the hub, that's probably much safer than them trying to put her on a plane.

Mine doesn't have any red letters and still says it's ontime. I called to doublecheck and got the bad news. I even cchecked any delays at 4am and last delay was Presidental Inauguration.

Yeah when I checked again before posting here, it wasn't on the site anymore.

Luckly it was only for about half a day. Snake was cold but alive. I hope things turn out out for you.

I had a blood python get stuck there for almost 20 hours on its way from southern California to Dallas. FedEx took a whole extra day to deliver. And yes I had to sit on my day off and wait for the package that never came.

I just had my Dave Green Champagne get delayed about two weeks ago. My shipment got here 24 hours late and my little champ was cold, but alive. He's settled in just fine since, so I'm sure everything will be just fine.

It has happen to me before when I shipped to one of my customer, the key is to properly package and avoid shipping in extreme condition.

The snake made it just fine and arrived the day after the original schedule delivery.

Things happen, plane break down, bad weather conditions, etc

That's what I'm doing. Sitting around after taking the day off from work. Very aggravating.

That's weird. I had a shipment come through Memphis very early this AM and arrive in Nashville on time... (Shipped from Florida).

Yeah not buying the weather delay. My package arrived from VA to Memphis, TN at 3:33 AM and the flight to Fort Myers, FL (FDX 1465) from Memphis left at 4:07 AM. So my package missed the flight to Florida for unknown reasons.

It was containerized so they could not visually observe it.

Although my shipment came in without issue through memphis, into florida...I wouldn't discount the weather issue. This is from the FedEx site itself:

LOL I have been staring at that off and on all day! I do believe they had bad weather in Memphis, but their plane took off exactly on time to Ft Myers 5:07 EST. (Every morning it leaves at 5:07) And my package made it there before it took off. I did work for UPS for 2 years and I have seen that packages sometimes get lost. It's just upsettingto me when it's an animal. If it was a Dell computer, no big deal.

I called in work that i would be late tomorrow. I won't be able to update this thread tomorrow, cause I'll be in a rush to get to work after I make sure she's ok. And I'm working late till 8PM but I will come back then to let you know the outcome.

Hopefully I'll be able to sleep better than last night.

I made this thread cause I was really angry at the time, now just worried. :(

Got a giant shipment today. Just missed all the delays.

Finally showed up. FedEx brought her as soon as she was on the truck.

Two heat packs were still warm She was cool, not cold. This would happend to my first ball python.
