It's alright... It really depends on you and what you prefer to do. I am naturally lazy, so I hate cardio. Proper strength training (P90X) actually is probably better for losing weight AND building muscle mass at the same time. Insanity will build some muscle if you are weak, but it is mainly geared towards working the type 1 muscles that are geared towards endurance, not mass.

I do like the diet they include in the insanity workout though. The diet plan rocks.

I need the endurance part :) I'm in firefighting school so endurance is big I'm in good shape already I'm the tall thin build with broad shoulders I can carry decent amount :) it's just going for long distances is hard since I just quit smoking

Then you will do well with Insanity. I can hardly make it through 3/4 of any insanity workout. Its tough but you feel great afterward. I prefer strength training. It does the same thing just with less jumping around and being loud :P

Insanity works....but it gets very old because even though there's 12 or so different DVDs, it seems like every one is the same workout and same moves. Regardless, it's a great workout so have a big towel to wipe all that sweat off.

Depends on what your goal is if it will "work" or not.

I've tried P90X before, pretty tough workout. Never tried Insanity, though.

K sounds like it will accomplish my goal of upping my endurance :) I need that ha we had four hours of crawling up and down a hill full turnouts and breathing tank and mask and after four hours I wanted to curl and a ball and wimper lol better then most couple kids gave up after and hr after three more kept dropping off under half us made it and none were standing by the end haha I wish I could have seen that from outside the group. 20 fully dressed fire students laying sprawled out among snowbanks and the road

I have done it and you basically get out what you put in. If your lazy and half ass the workouts, don't wonder why your joy getting the results. It's meant for YOU to push yourself. If you go hard at it, you'll establish a love/hate relationship. If you give it your all it is a good DVD set for endurance. Good luck man, your gonna need it! It's all in your head. Let us know how it goes.

Ya I've never tried them before either but alot of the guys at my college use it or p90x so I figured I'd give it a try cuz I can't keep being that tired lol it's awakward laying in a snow bank with a o2 tank on back and face in snow cuz between helmet and mask its just easier haha I love school. I'm gonna go food shopping today and get from their nutrition guide

I did Insanity - it is AWESOME. Be prepared for a butt-spanking and fast results! Every two weeks I retook pics and was amazed. It does really work, as long as you are digging as deep as you can! :)

Couple mins and a good throw up of one burger later I feel great just legs are tired. I'm 163 lbs and in decent shape but holy crap on a stick lol it can only get easier
