    Yellowbelly, Orangebelly, Gargoyle question
I know yellowbelly makes ivories and orangebelly and gargoyle but are they all compatible lines of yellowbelly if you breed one to the other will you get ivories?

    Thanks Kindly,

Gargoyle is a combo with cinny and het red, not related to the yellow belly or orange belly at all. Last I heard not much was known about orange belly and how it ties into the graphite stuff, ben wasn't sure if it was the orange bellies doing it or an extra gene or something else. But what is known is orange belly and yellow belly do sit on the same locus, so they are compatible. An orange belly/yellow belly looks like an ivory.

    ^ x2

I have also heard that OBxOB pairings create the Ultra Ivory (essentially a very orange Ivory) and at a con I attended awhile back, there was a guy suggesting that the Graphite Ivories may actually be a third strand of the YB gene. Not sure what his references on that one were though. Think it was probably just speculation.

I wasn't aware that the Goblins were a line of YBs, I always thought they were just a separate thing. :v

If you cross the lines what will you label them as? If you breed an OB x YB you can't call the offspring OB's because you won't be able to tell the difference between the two. Same for the other lines. The names of these morphs define a lineage. Once you cross two lines that linage is mixed. I won't be breeding my OB's to any if the other lines :)

An example if this is the Citrus Pastel line and regular Pastels, if you mix the Citrus with another line of pastel, you couldn't differentiate the two.

That's assuming orange belly has nothing to do with the graphite / ultra ivory stuff. Which at least I havn't seen anything to say one way or another.

Not sure what you mean, but my comment wasn't an assumption. Graphites and Ultras are made from OB's. You cannot tell an OB from a YB visually. So if you cross the lines you can't call them OB's because they could be YB and won't produce Graphites or Ultras ( unless you breed to another OB) .
