I had something about two weeks ago. It was nasty stuff and hung on for awhile. I didn't get a flu shot. I think it's good for you to get sick once in awhile.

We all need to move to Connecticut immediately. According to the news, it's the last state in the continental U.S that has "only" a moderate level of flu-infected people.

I've been sick for a month and a half now

I got pretty sick a few days after new years and I'm still not totally better. I haven't been knocked out like that in a long time. I never got flu shots because I so rarely get the flu. :rolleyes:

I got the flu shot and I'm a First Responder at my job. I've held back the hair of many a co-worker this flu season in our first aid room, and sent quite a few to the hospital with dehydration. Knock wood, the flu shot seems to be doing its job.

I got sick for like two days a couple months ago but the cough since then and its driving me crazy:mad:

Along with 3 other shots my doc gave me that nasal injected flu vaccine and it made me sick as a dog. :mad:

I get the flu shot every year and thankfully i have never gotten the flu.

Not yet...I get the flu usually like every other year. I'm incredibly healthy.

I had the stomach flu and strep throat at the same time! It was horrible. My neck was already hurting and stiff from strep, then add all the heaving and I couldn't sit up without holding my head! Pure misery I tell ya!

Its still here. I have a friend whose an EMT and shes been getting a bunch of flu calls she said.

I didnt get the shot and havent gotten sick. Same as last year. There are two strains that the shot didnt cover this year which is why its worse than usual. Scientists didnt predict that well i guess lol. I work in a nursing home so its highly recommended i get one but i havent gotten one the past 5 years and i think i only got sick once. Im not sure that was even the flu though.

Feel really cruddy. Can barely keep..eyes..open:(

I was sick as a dog for a few weeks, turned into a sinus infection that then led to a three day migraine. Seems everyone is getting it bad this year.

The one and only time I tried the flu shot was about 10 years ago. Made me horribly sick - with the flu. I've never had the shot since and I've never had the flu since. Of course, I'm dealing with appendicitis now, but that's a whole other ball of wax......... LoL!

The first time I got the Flu shot I got sick as a dog too. but every year since then I get the shot, ad have not got the flu since...I hate going to the store every one is hacking and sneezing all over the place...

My immune system is hardcore, but I finally got a flu shot for the first time ever this year, mainly because my wife was able to get one with me for free thanks to my employer, and she NEEDS it in order to have any chance of not getting deathly ill every year. I've not been sick this year, and I *usually* don't get the flu in anyway, but given that it was free for me, it was a bit hard to say no to.
