New Dumerils!! Just had to get her....
So we went to the Taylor MI show today and I found this little gem on a table full of corns and kings. She has the BEST personality! Very calm and curious and likes to be handled. She is a late 2012 baby. She does have a teeny nose rub, but it is healed and I don't think it'll cause any further problems and her body condition otherwise is perfect. I have been thinking about getting one of these guys for a couple of years now and when I saw her, I couldn't leave without her. She was the one! So here she is! And if anyone has any name suggestions, I'm all ears - I'm stuck on this one!

She is very pretty :) Do you go with thematic names for pets? For instance all of our cats, dogs and now snake have been named after food. Our latest little addition was named "Dorito":)

I could go with a theme. None of my other herps are thematic, except the crested geckos, lol, but I'm certainly willing - I just usually pick names I like that mean something - either to the animal's personality or to me personally. If you have thought, fire away!

We went with a food theme only because my kids had already named our pets Peanut, Marshmallow Kitty and Sprite. seemed reasonable to stay in the theme, lol. Personally I would probably go with characters from my favorite books (Wheel of Time) or movie (Star Wars for my hubby) :) Rowena is pretty though!

Pretty little girl, I've had mine a month now and I love love love her!!!! I named her Gloria, as someone mentioned to me that since she's from Madagascar, that Gloria would be cool, since Gloria is one of the animals in the movie, but it also has a double meaning for me because my aunt who had cancer named Gloria passed away a while back and it just works perfectly!!
So maybe think of something like that?? That's what I try to do, I never name my animals right away because there are just too many options lol
Ball Pythons
0.3 Normals (Coilette, Athena and Mary Jane)
1.0 Pastel (De Sol)
1.0 Spider (Zeus)
1.0 Mojave (Prometheus)
Boa Constrictors
0.1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa (Stella)
0.1 BCI (Kiyoko)
0.1 Dumerils Boa (Gloria)
0.1 Yellow Anaconda (Serenity)

I'll try to stop teasing. but honestly your arabesque sunglow is the best looking one i've ever seen! Unfortunately Dums seem prone to rubbing if they dont get handled enough. I thought it was just mine but i've seen more and more of it lately. They seem to not do it as much if I get them out and play with them for like an hour every couple days. As for a name for your new girl.... it is a girl right? I like Peaches or Rosie. Im betting she gets a little more red to her that peach just by her colorations now. They tend to darken up a bit as they grow. I know you will love her they are soooo much fun!

I don't mind you teasing!! LoL, I tease you often enough with Pandora.... :D
Thanks for the tips on the rubbing. I'm not used to that since none of my BCIs rub. Fortunately, her current rub seems well-healed. But I certainly want to try to prevent her from rubbing any more!
I already have a Peaches!! It's a great name! I like Rosie....

Thanks for the replies everyone! I decided to name her Suki. Found the name in an older musical/playwright called "Madam Butterfly". Almost named her that but it seemed a little flurish-y to me. But I liked Suki. Thanks for all the suggestions - they were really great! ;)
