Neat! How many would you estimate make it on to full frog form?

About 80% should turn to frogs. I have a good portion of them presold. So only 2 weeks or so of care in my hands once they are frogs

Not at this stage. I seperate them by size and feed them twice a day.

what is your survival rate? from tadpole to small pacman?
  • 01-14-2013, 03:07 AM
    mikesphatfrogs
75% or so. They eat the weaker tadpoles. If not you would end up with bad frogs by trying to save them all.

very true but 75% is a great survival rate out of maybe 2000 tadpoles getting 1500 is awesome, do you have pictures of your next step when you separate them after this stage what method do you use to keep them?

the babies are looking great at that stage what variety of foods do you offer and when you go to the large pool/ tubs do do you use anything special to keep them separate? I use to use pvc holding up the light diffuser and thin mesh to keep them above and filter the water below to keep water clean for them and to make cleaning them fast

I have so many babies right now I just seperate them by size. Like sizes go together. Some of the special morphs are seperated. At this size I can do 100% water changes every 2 days. They are still eating live black worms.

I did for a little while but wasn't my think I just like to keep a few as pets and just enjoy them in my collection but I did breed pacman frogs which was so much fun seeing them grow and develop just kinda lost the fun and I stopped but after seeing your pictures and your morphs on your page the bug is starting to want me to do it again lol
