That's a pretty smartly made breeding tub you've got there! If they swim around in the eggs too much will they be damaged? How long does it take the eggs to hatch?

So their breeding tubs have those bottoms an they just lay tons of eggs, how many times do they lay eggs?

The false bottom helps in a way that they won't damage the eggs or hurt the tadpoles. I've had some tadpoles hatch out by the next morning. Usually 12-48hrs depending on species.

If the males do their job a high percent turn into tadpoles. Once they are tadpoles they need to be seperated and fed a lot. If its done correctly a big group will turn into frogs.

I make the false bottoms. They lay between 500 and 2000 eggs. Breeding is not done easily and takes a lot of time.

Wow that's not something you get to see everyday. With the appetites those frogs have I would think those big girls would try and eat the males:D. Thanks for the pics.

Hatching is over a 24 hr period. They change to a kidney shape then to more of a tadpole shape.

Ill post a pic but its hard to see. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/12/30/emu5yje9.jpg

So cool! Thanks for posting these. I've been seriously thinking about getting some pacmans. It would be awesome if you keep posting pics documenting how you care for them leading up to them becoming full fledge frogs.
