I was wondering if any of you breeders ever came across this, and bred it, and know if it's genetic? This snake has a whitish ring around its entire tail, as you can see in the pic. I am looking for a female to pair with him. You think he is a sort of "poor person's ringer"? Me being the poor person. :)

Genetic? Don't know, but it'd be cool if it was!

Wow, it'd be cool if I inadvertantly adopted a het for piebald. I can dream, right? :)
He doesn't have any coloring on his belly below the stripe, though. But it';s still an interesting trait. If I see a female with a ring like that, I'll be snapping her up.

My ball has that similar "blush" pattern on her black, bait. Her dark spots fade out in the middle and she's developed a really interesting buttery yellow color on some of her side markings.

Want the burm, Brandon? lol Did you happen to look at the 'incident' I had?
UberAlice, you should see the new Ball Python females I just bought. I talked about them on my "Breeders" page. I'll get the pictures up soon. They're SO funky looking. Lindy Johnson said some people sell them on kingsnake.com for like $500 as "Leopard" or "Labyrinth" or something, but they're just normal Spider siblings.
Oh, Ginevive, I was at Petco a few weeks ago... They were in the process of cleaning out their Ball Python display cages so none were out there, but there was shedded skin in there... One of the skins had no pattern on it whatsoever. There was a Ghost in there! But they wouldn't let me go through their stock!!

If I was you, I'd camp there till they put their stock back in the enclosures.

And now, free with every test drive...
I'm in Modesto, CA... you've probably heard about this little city because of Scott Peterson, lol.
I did 'camp out' there. I checked back in on them every week, and it seemed like they were cleaning those damn cages for 2 months. By the time they put them back in, there was only like three snakes left in there... none looking very spectacular. I do hit up Lindy Johnson every now and then for some weird things... he runs his shop in the next town over.

HAHA you're right! I was actually looking for Ball Pythons a couple years ago that looked like him so I could buy them up and create, like, a locality, lol. That's awesome, though.
This type of Ball Python has this very simple and perfect lines and pattern, nothing wild. Munky has no 'alien eyes', just smooth brown. And there are ovals from the tail and along the spine, and just a couple bands. Yours could very well be his sibling, lol.
They're like perfectly patterned ball pythons. We should start a club :D
