Yes yes I know Christmas isn't just about the gifts...but its always nice to hear what people got. Reptiles or not...Post your hauls!

Got an Ipad and case, $100 in gas cards, and Gift cards to wal-mart and some local restaurants for "date nites" (Red Robin, Olive Garden) and a gift card to Petsmart (next round of kitty food and litter is on Grandma! lol)

Ahah, I don't know what I have this year yet.
Like, my gifts aren't under the tree even.

Down comforter from LL Bean and a bunch of restaurant gift cards from my wife's parents (they do that every year - they like to "take us out for dinner" even when they're not with us, super nice of them IMO), $100 gift card to the local chain of bike shops for me from my parents (probably going to become half of a shoes/pedals combo, been wanting to go clipless for a long time). The coolest thing, though, was the pair of new muskie lures my wife got me; funky 12" plastic one that looks like it'll probably "swim" through the water, and a twin-blade bucktail that just looks sweet - the blades are kind of stamped in a wavy pattern that should reflect light differently than any of the other lures I have. The only downside is that muskie season isn't usually open until June, so I'll have to stuff them in the tackle box and wait. She scolded me a bit for getting her the nicest arrow-fletching jig I could find (something she's been wanting to get for quite a while but hasn't due to the cost, IMO making it exactly the right kind of gift). That's right, my wife's into archery and she spent a bunch of time researching fishing stuff to buy me a cool gift - she's officially awesome.

Now we just have to write some thank you cards, and the holidays will be safely behind us. :)

I got a Keurig, a food vacuum sealer, an enameled cast iron dutch oven, a 3 in 1 hand mixer/emulser, a cookbook, a beautiful frame that Karl put together with two pictures of my grandmother who passed away at 100 a couple years ago and a picture of my parents in the middle. And my mom sent me home with $40 worth of Kohl's cash. Oh, and my folks are planning to pay off my car.

You too? :D I got one too, complete with extra 55-250mm and 75-300mm lenses. Sadly I'm home with the parents for the holidays and not at my home back near school so I can't take a picture of my cinny yet.

I got a litter of 12 rats Christmas Eve, and a litter of 14 today and got to show my kids and family a live rat birth. That was better than the presents.

I got a red spotted garter, Big Bang Theory fuzzy pants, funky socks, food processor, an 18x18x36 exo-terra and a bucketload of candy!

And three dinners that left me so full that my toque doesn't fit anymore!

Not quite. The t3 and t3i are a bit different. So far, loving it though. Down the road some additional lenses, flashes, and an extra battery are on the list. Canon makes nice cameras. I can't even believe how these pics look compared to my lousy phone pics. Outstanding.

I got gift cards, some books, cd, a cookbook (I wanted), and some other odd and ends. it was more fun seeing the baby open her gifts! She's 10 months old and had great fun with all her new toys! :)

Imo christmas is basically a materialistic hallmark holiday now. Im not saying there shouldnt be presents but i dont think there's any need for parents to be shoving the entire contents of a Toys R Us underneath the tree. Its stupid. When youre little its different but as i got older i really care much more about seeing family who i dont get to see often and eating good food. My grandparents are getting up there in age. Every time i get to see them could be the last so i try and make the most of it. And prime rib is just amazing so you gotta savor that too lol!

I got my mum a "BALL PYTHON HUGGER" bumper sticker for her car and she actually put it on! :D My brothers keep joking that someone's going to take a Sharpie to it and cross out "python" :rofl:

I'm with ya there buddy. I just like watching netflix with my brothers and sister and baking cookies with my grandma :P. I feel like I'm at the age where things I want are my responsibility to purchase. Not to say my family doesn't do a gift exchange, but it's pretty uneventful and we focus on sentimental or silly gifts. And alcohol ;)
