Newest update of my 2012 hatchlings!
So I was cleaning tubs the other day and realized how big some of my babies are getting. What better excuse to break out the camera! So here are my babies, my pride and joy of the 2012 season.

Fifty-Fifty pied boy:

An interesting thing to me about my pieds. They had two different mom's but the same dad. All of the het pieds had tail stripes, and all of the visual pieds, even the one I lost, had white tail tips!
Now here are a couple of my hubby's baby's from this year. The one's that weren't in blue.
Blackback normal boy:

Woma girl:

It is interesting that while his clutch had different fathers: a woma, a spider and a lesser. All of his babies carried the reduced pattern/blackback of their mom. He's awfully proud of them, and he's really glad I suggested he keep her as his female instead of selling her.
So there they are. I don't mind saying, I'm pretty thrilled with how my pairings produced the kind of top notch babies I wanted. I guess that means I've got a pretty good eye for quality.

Gale,
Those are some fine hatchlings you have there. The fires are just beautiful.

I will indeed be repeating this pairing. With babies like these I'd be crazy not to! Of course, next time around I'll have an incubator I can trust!
I cannot say 100% that those are genetic blackback, but it seems really promising that the mom has it, and babies from 3 different dad's showed the trait to one degree or another, wouldn't you say?
I hope to begin my pied projects this year as well, so I should have some nice morph het pieds if all goes in my favor.
