    Tell me what you think...
I'm still trying to learn about all the different morphs, while at the same time looking to future possibilities (speaking for both my husband and I), so looking for some input. What do you think about these two snakes? I want to get more pictures of these animals, but for now this is what I have to work with.

I don't think he looks too bad. I'm not a particularly big fan of pastel, but do like some of the morphs pastels can make (future possibilities, not jumping into anything right now). May be browning a little bit? What do you experts see in him? What would you price him at?

Not so sure about this one. She looks awful brown to me, not the lovely tans and yellows I've seen in pictures. I'm hoping it is a picture quality issue. Please tell me what you see and what you would price her at. Could she possibly produce something nicer if mixed with other morphs?

    Thank you in advance!

Pastel is pretty cool but that butter is SMOKIN! Love her reduced pattern and awesome blushing. Good pickups!

So that butter does have a nice pattern? I wasn't too sure, the brownness in the picture was throwing me off. But that's why I'm here, to learn more! :)

The pastel has held his color well, I like him. Personally, I would pass on that butter though.

This is one of the best things about ball pythons. The variety and varying opinions. I'm more of a pattern type guy so that butter appeals to me. Yes she may be a bit dark but some people like that. My ideal butter is this one (psst she's mine so you can't have her lol)

This... I think he looks good for a 2 year old pastel. Based on that pic, I would pass on the butter personally. It could be that the colors are just way off in the pic, but I'm just not feeling it.

The pastel looks great, I would take him for sure, the butter, I am not sure, I love her looks, but its not your standard butter color wise... I do love how she looks tho, is it possible the color is off in the picture?

That pastel is holding his color very well! Could be a potential breeder (though personally I'd get an equally nice or nicer looking female pastel and get a multigene male of your choice). The butter has some potential, I'm a fan of the pattern, but I'd ask for better lit pictures first

Thank you very much for the input and pictures! I do like the light tan/yellow coloration of DooLittle's butter, but also like the reduced pattern. Going to see if I can get some better pictures, and what other information I can get, and go from there.

IMO all three butters look nice (although I don't have/know butters so I'm not qualified to say), but DrDooLittle's and Interloc's both look like they were taken with high quality (or higher than phone camera) cameras under professional lighting conditions with high contrast backgrounds, which I'm sure helps accentuate their beauty.

Ok, here's more of mine, different lighting.

That is really neat to see the differences cameras and lighting make, although of course she's lovely in all of them!

Both the pastel male and the butter female are great looking reps of their morphs. That butter is just looking darker because of the dark pic. I bet in a better pic or in person she looks much better. If she isn't lighter, her reduced pattern would still be worth working with.

A light tent and good camera are wonderful for picking up their true colors.

This might end up being a pass on both! I haven't heard back from the seller. They may just be busy (considering the time of year especially), but if I don't hear back by the end of the weekend, I'll consider it not happening.

I'll admit one reason I kind of jumped on this (was planning to wait until the reptile show in January before adding any new snakes) is because it looked like a pretty good deal. The ad said this seller was willing to sell these two snakes plus a spider female and normal male for $300 total. Seemed too good to be true, so I wanted more information. Guess it was too good to be true if I don't hear back! lol Oh well, saves me money for the show. lol
