So, a few weeks back I sent a little to the australia zoo c/o steve irwin. Asking him to come and check out the site, and maybe lol become a member to share some advice with us. Or maybe have a little page for him to add articles and ask him questions or what not. I was really just making it a long shot because I lovvveee steve irwin, he is great. So anyway, I just checked my mail and got a letter from the australia zoo. It wasn't from him but from his associates and it said that steve will definetley check the website out and get back to me!!!

he does keep snakes. I seen a few episodes where they were taking care of a wounded burmese i think it was. It was wounded from bites during breeding.

We should invite Jeff Corwin as well, he and Steve Irwin are 2 of my favorite people on tv and I also have season passes on the ol' Tivo for their shows.

Their is a guy on National Geographic Explorer named Brady Barr but I don't care for him to much :).

corwin all the way. steve is the guy who makes kids think its okay to go pick up that rattlesnake in the backyard.

    his show still rules though.

    Cheeky!
    Props to Steve Irwin.
    I love Irwin and Corwin
And yes Steve started keeping snakes when he was just a young lad.
I just saw a show all about him and growing up and meeting his wife etc
    with his mum and dad.
His parents started that zoo when he was a kid.
    Great stuff!

Steve might be a little over the top, and of course we don't want our kids thinking they can go out and pick up wild snakes, but one thing he does far better than anyone else is foster an appreciation for reptiles. He LOVES the herps he works with and encounters in the wild, and that love comes across in his intense enthusiasm. He is THE GUY when it comes to teaching people to appreciate, not fear, reptiles.

And of course, being a woman, I love the fact that his wife is just as involved as he is.

It would be pretty amazing if any of those guys decided to cruise our site and post once in a while. I think our small size actually gives us an advantage because a busy person doesn't have to spend hours here each day to stay fairly caught up...and so long as we're relatively small, a celeb posting here (hopefully) wouldn't be overwhelmed with hundreds of responses and PM's just because he's a celebrity.
