It's always nice to know if theres anyone living near you that is on the same message board. so i figured we could write what state we live in, nothing too in depth, like your street, or even your town on the forums, if you find someone near you, then you could ask them through PM, but if they dont feel comfortable, dont push!

just trying to see if anyone lives near me, and where over the world people are from on the message board.

    well, im from Connecticut.

WooHoo Damien! GO SPURS! :P I'm a huge Spurs fan, too! I was in San Antonio before we moved here. I loved it there and miss it a lot. We're currently in the DC area, but will be moving to Montgomery, Alabama mid-summer.

(But no matter where we live, I'll always love and cheer for my Spurs!)

I actually remember Waco initially from the big cluster of teen suicides there around 1984, after which a friend of mine's parents packed up the family and moved to Atlanta, which is known for the summer of the missing and murdered children, the Olympic and clinic and bar bombings in '96, and the airport everyone has to change planes in. ;)

It is Waco... You can't blame 'em for wanting to get out of here. LoL, I want out, but not at that extreme. I hadn't been born yet... Ugh I'm such a little kid... If you can consider 19 little... On a different note though, 2 of my classmates in the Vet Tech program brought their BPs up to school today, one was a 4 yr old male named Jake, and the other was just a tiny baby bought 2 days ago. The guy who owns the baby was wanting to feed it a baby gerbil, and I had to butt in and let him know that the gerbil wasn't a substantial enough meal for it, told him to go get a mouse. LoL, and the big one got loose, the both second-year and first-year students were looking for it... Finally found it later in the day... Guess where it was...? In the anesthesia machine! LoL, so funny. Ok sorry such a long post, just thought it might cheer up someone's day. :-D

    I must say farewell...
Hey Justin, there are other youngins like y'all here as well, including Godfather and Emroul. BTW, my kids tried to guess your age when they met you the other weekend and you might be flattered (or insulted or disinterested ;) ) to know they gave you an extra 5 or 6 years.

Becky, I don't consider 19 a little kid -- I was married and had my first kid at opposite end of my 19th year. I've never been to Waco, so I can't really comment on whether people want out of there, but my friend hasn't seemed interested in going back to visit. ;)

wow marla, thats funny. I get that all the time though, people can never guess my age. Its weird. Godfather is young? really? how young? and emroul too? wow

I think part of it is the military haircut and bearing. That tends to make young guys look older and older guys look younger. Something about it. :) I think I'd better let Godfather share his age himself, but let's just say he makes me feel old. ;)

Wow, I had no idea Godfather was that young! I never really gave it much thought, but I would picture him being older than me (I'm 24).

Oh yeah, as for me, I grew up in Orange County, California (and if you call it "The O.C.", I'll kill you.) Actually now I live in Diamond Bar which is pretty much on the border of Los Angeles and Orange County (it's officially LA county). I live about 15 minutes away from Disneyland, if you know where that is.

Hockeymom, my 8 year old nephew plays hockey So. Cal too(at Disney Ice in Anaheim).

    lol... the o.c....
that show needs to be banned, immediately. my little sister is in love with it... i guess it wouldn't suck so bad if i could get past the fact that they are supposed to be in high school and they all look like they are at least 25 or 30. when is tv going to realize, NOBODY IN HIGH SCHOOL IS 6'10, 250, AND GROWS THICK FACIAL HAIR. I graduated a couple years ago and those dudes on the O.C. could probably all be my father.

    Hey Gen-
We just play Roller Hockey. My two youngest play for Team Mission Primal out of Upland Roller Hockey. this is our first tournament team. With 5 of us playing I can't afford Ice until my Reptile breeding projects take off, Hopefully next year. I use to work at Disneland in 87, I had a 75 Pontiac, Ventura with a sweet 350 and duel exaust, that thing would break down on me at least twice a week comming home thru Tonner Caynon at abou 2 am. I sure miss the good old days.

Wizill, don't even get me started on that show. I saw about 3 minutes of it and that was enough. It just bothers me that people probably actually think Orange County is like that. And they DO look so freakin old!

Hockeymom, My nephew started out Roller Hockey too. My brother worked at Disneyland for years, but not till about 91 I think. And I take Toner Canyon/Brea Canyon to and from work everyday. No way to I take the freeway during traffic hours. Luckily I haven't broken down yet!

Sorry Gen but when I read your post first thing I thought of was the OC :)
The kids do look and act way to old but I must confess last summer while my son was away at b-ball camp I got hooked on it.
No need to make fun of me my friends make that their full time job :)

Like Ed, I grew up in Buffalo NY. Not the snow-capital of the world like everyone thinks it is. Heeewl no! If you want the snow capital, come where I now live (about a half hour outside of Buffalo, in the middle of nowhere.) We get twice the amount as Buffalo!
But our summers are nice. it rarely gets stifling hot; usually hovers around 70-80.
