Christmas Ragamuffin Kitten!

We just picked up a Ragamuffin kitten for our oldest daughter for Christmas! She's is sweetest thing ever, always wants to be by people, and always underfoot! Her fur is so soft, it puts baby bunnies to shame :) She's 5mo old, and not nearly as big as she looks in the pictures, she's about the size of a 12wk kitten. No name yet, as that will be up to the kiddo.

Beautiful cat! She is going to be a pet cat, not an outdoor cat, right? ;) Your decision, but I would hope so. Aside from killing wildlife she would mess up that beautiful coat! What exactly is a ragamuffin?

Definitely indoor only. My other cat is indoor aswell. Ragamuffins especially need to be indoors because of their gentle, docile demeanor.

RagaMuffins are a muscular, heavy breed of cat needing approximately four to five years to fully mature. [1] The physical traits of the breed include a rectangular, broad-chested body with shoulders supporting a short neck. The head is a broad, modified wedge with a rounded forehead and a nose dip. RagaMuffins come in all coat colors and patterns with a medium-length coat that increases in length toward the stomach. Although the coat is thick and plush, it does not readily mat or clump and is easy to care for. Oh my goodness!!!! So precious <3 Did you by chance get her off craigslist? I had seen some cl ads for ragamuffin kittens but I can't remember when or what citty.

I'm not overly fond of cats but she's pretty cute!

Yep! Got her from a couple in Orlando :D They have her brother their still trying to find a home for (as of yesterday). Can't beat a $45 re-homing for a ragamuffin! Even if she's not a pedigree / registered etc, she's got all the qualities, and is a super sweet heart. Totally worth it! The boy they have is cream colored. I bet he's gorgeous!

Very nice to hear that she'll be an indoor cat. Also, thanks for schoolin' me on the breed. :)

Thats so cool! I dont really like many cats but I want one like that. I didnt even know that RagaMuffins were a real type of cat.

What a gorgeous little girl!! I absolutely love cats and can't wait until I move into a place where I can have one. We had a Ragdoll cat when I was growing up, which are very similar to the Ragamuffins except they are a bit larger. Awesome cats - I'm sure your daughter will be in love!

I actually wanted to get a ragdoll for her originally. I had fallen for the breed a while ago and knew they would be perfect for my cuddly daughter. I had not heard of the ragamuffins until I found this little kitty and did some research / talked to some breeders. I'm so glad everything worked out the way it did! This little girl is such a gem. So inquisitive and loving!
