We had a post with pics of everyone's desks.

I would like to see what everyones enclosures look like.
    Here is Jojo's House.

damn me for not having a digital camera or a scanner! My set up is so awesome now, especially in comparison with how it used to be! My desk set up is pretty bland so i was not too worried about not being able to share that but i would really like to share my enclosure. It has three hides, a large vine & some fake leaves. It looks really nice. Of course my lazy ass snake just sits in her warm hide 90% of her life anyway! LOL!!

I had to move his set-up into my closet to keep the humidity high enough (even with a contact paper lid) to the left you can see the humidifier it is the kind that you select the humidity level to maintain - got it at walmart for like forty bucks... need it in winter anyways.

Right now it's a 20L tank but soon i will have my animal plastics item T3 (now with sliding doors) that is 36Lx24Wx12H so that should last me until and possibly through adult hood assuming he isn't one of those HUGE ones (and turns out to be a she).

Amber's current setup. Although I have a heat pad, I rarely use it. The lamp along heats that side of the cage about 20-25 degrees warmer than the room temperature. Hygrometer is hidden in the foilage (amber moves things around at night, you should have seen it after the last shed...she must have rearraged the whole cage.)

is her cool hide under the foilage? or it that big thing right in front?

yeah thats a piece of corkbark and she has basically created a burrow underneath of it in the mulch! The foilage is basically for decoration, and she sometimes climbs through it at night when she roams the cage.

    I have a a medium size precision cage with dimensions of 36" length x 20" depth x 13-1/4" height

    http://precisioncaging.com/mediumcage.gif (not mine)

I also have two custom built 39"x22"x22" wooden cages with sliding plexi glass doors. I like the wooden ones best, they were cheap and well built this time. I wish the precision was made of a thicker material tho.

Here is my DIY rubbermaid, I posted it in an earlier post.

I'm thinking of getting Norbert an Animal Plastics cage for his 1st birthday. (He'll be a year old in October, so I figure that will be good enough timing). You'll have to let us know how yours works out Jonah.

The Precision one looks nice too, though. What's it made out of, Godfather? You think it's too thin?

I am planning on building a wooden enclosure for Jojo and my future ball pythons. I just need to know what i can use to seal the wood with. I was thinking about using laminate to seal off the wood. I was also wondering if i could use Plexiglass for the whole enclosure.

plexiglass is used in many commercial cages - BP's like their privacy though so an all plexi cage may not be so great. maybe three sided or just plexi on the front would be good though! Godfather has some cusom enclosures and I promise you that Rusty knows what's up - If I were you I'd post a new thread in caging with the heading Building your own Enclosure or Enclosure questions or something.

Hissy is funny though cuz she used to roam a lot when i first had her & then once she got on a regular feeding schedule, she chilled out. When i rearranged & made additions to her tank, she ran around that thing for the next 24 hours! I was actually gettin worried cuz she wasn't goin into her hides at all. After that 24 hours tho, she got bored & went back to being lazy bones.
