Possible purchase! Proven Breeder fire femal
Hi all! I just wanted some opinions before I get too carried away lol

Proven breeder fire female. She laid 6 eggs last season. I'm waiting for a response from the owner regarding her age, current weight, etc. We agreed on a price of $525. I really like her but I wanted to make sure she was a quality fire before dropping that kind of money!

Not a fire that I would buy. To me that looks like a light normal. Can you get any belly pics?

I see what you mean. It's a nice looking light animal. The sandy patches look a little too soft. Fires tend to be a little more messy and crazy. I have my doubts about it as well. I would PM the breeder and ask to see pics of the babies.

I'm terrible at spotting adults .

It just looks like a reduced fire to me. There is no way that animal is a normal....

    Marissa@MKmorphs
You guys are making me question myself! She looks way too bright and yellow to be a light normal to me.... I sent him a text asking for belly pics and pics of her babies.

What makes you guys think she might just be a light colored normal?

I thought the same thing but someone said they would copulate with her so I did not say anything. :O

All of the pics seem to come from breeding season could she be in glow making her look like a fire? I have not physically seen an adult fire in person but some of my females looked just like her last year when they started glowing. Just a thought.

Looks like a very reduce and bright normal. I'm wondering if its a fire. The belly pics would help a bunch

She's nice looking whatever she is, but yeah.. ask for belly pics. Also, $525 is insanely low for a proven Fire that it would make me suspicious.
  • 12-13-2012, 02:02 AM
    Marissa@MKmorphs
$525 is what I bargained him down to. He didn't know what people would be asking and he paid 450 for her initially.

I asked for pictures of the clutch and belly pics. He loaned her to Steve Tillis of Reptillis herps to breed to his calico. I was on his channel and toward the end of the video he had the clutch from this girl, waiting for them to have their first shed. I am trying to get in contact with him for pictures of the offspring but there is like, a two second flash of the babies at the end of this video.

I am also now getting into contact with Steve Tillis. He will be sending me pics of the clutch. I have a picture of her on the eggs that I will post in a little bit.

Im seeing a bit of the granite-ty like pattern that fires can have in this pic. Someone freaking get Jerry in here, he'll confirm it. What are you guys not seeing that make it a normal? Head stamp, reduced pattern, some granite-ty speckling, blushing, some striping; all fire traits.

I really would like to hear the people who are saying normal what makes them think normal. I like to think im pretty good with the fire morph, but my male is only about 900grams, so hes not as creamy as that girl yet.

IDK what really scares me off is the $525 tag on her. No way that a breeder would think that is a good price on a breeder female fire. Pastels go for that. A breeder fire female would be more in the 900-1000 range. If she is in fact a fire then you need to jump fast because that would be the steal of the year.

That's NOT a good deal. That is what you cal a STEAL. lol. your talking half price. A female like that would be a great find for that price as you can make a profit your first breeding season easy as pie.
  • 12-13-2012, 11:19 AM
    Marissa@MKmorphs
The guy wanted at least 700 but I talked him down to 525. He is trying to make more room for other projects. She was purchased in 2009 from BHB.

He didn't really know market price and he was just glad I wasn't completely low balling him.

Not imo. A steal would be if she picked it up off craigslist for $50. Idk, just difference of opinions i guess. Are you saying you dont see fire just bc of the price? Thats not a good enough reason lol.

So if I didn't say how much I was going to pay, should you not have questioned if she was a fire ? Lol

    Stealing is bad Karma.

Throw her with a Male Fire and find out for sure.

The reason I said she looked normal is because a friend has a very similar looking snake like that and it was a normal. I've never handled a fire or seen a fire in person at that age or size. So I don't know what I'm suppose to be looking for. But the only thing going for it for fire for me is that it is a little creamer and lighter then my friends. Also I don't think $525 is too cheap by all means. Me and my boyfriend bought a 1600g pastel proven breeder for $200. So deals like that can be real.
