Shedding caught on camera? I hope so...
So, my female spider, since eating for me about two and a half weeks ago, has gained nearly 100g (however...much of that is a much needed poop). Well, she's hungry and so I got her a nice big weanling rat for her. She ate it. And to my surprise, she began to shed. No lie. I watched her finish the last of her rat before she began to cruise her tub rubbing on EVERYTHING. Some of her skin is starting to come off. She's just trying to get her head shed off. So here I am, camera at the ready, waiting for her to get her face shed off so I can film her. THIS. IS. TORTURE. I've never seen my ball pythons shed. I've seen a few corn snakes, but never any of my ball pythons.

She has the BIGGEST sausage butt I've ever seen. She usually poops while she sheds. I just looked over at her and it looks like she's got her head started. So, I'm going to film and upload for your viewing pleasure :D You may get lucky and see a poop too!

It's uploading now! No poop though...I think she's waiting for me to give her a fresh bed so she can dirty it up again
however...youtube says it'll take 400+ minutes to upload... -_-
Re: Shedding caught on camera? I hope so...
Lordy. This is taking forever.... ugg. Well, she finished shedding. It was not her best shed and she had a piece on her head (not over her eyes though!) and then she had a little trouble where her dinner was sitting (she had eaten maybe an hour before she shed?). So I had to pause the video and help her out real quick. She never pooped. I bet she'll leave me something to clean up in the morning with I do my hardcore cleaning (it's scrub-the-tubs day tomorrow). I'll try to upload it tomorrow and let it run until it uploads. But...I'm too tired to wait nearly 500 minutes for it to upload on it's own. Also, I'll post some post-shed pictures tomorrow once I can get her into some natural light. :D

Congrats on filming your little one shedding! :gj:
Thanks! I usually just find them when I check tubs. I have, however, videod one of my corns shedding when I first got her. And just last week one of my corns shed before his dinner and I watched it...In fact, I've caught all but one of my corn snakes shedding. Charlotte was the first of my ball pythons.
As for mojos...I want one...I want a female one...to pair with my lesser...and make beautiful white babies.
