Food for thought
If someone threatened to Hurt/ kill your animals to your face....what would you do. Don't only look at the money aspect but esp. What they mean to you. Have fun; I'm gauging myself based on what just happened.
-
Just a threat? Tell them to F&@K off. If it became more than just words, they would find out pretty quick that it was a very bad idea.

Okay the situation my old BEST friend for years back in the day that I am no longer friends with came up to me and started crap shoved me all this other stuff. And then he said" I know your house and I know how to get in and I know how much you like those snakes, gay boy, (I am in fact straight he is just immature) and he said ill kill me all just for the fun of it and because your a ( insert name) I flipped out and pinched him in the lower jaw and said that he will never ever kill any of my animals. Ever. And I believe that he was serious about doing it because he's done really crazy stuff in the past. I just want to know if pinching him is unusual. If I am too passionate or too immature. (I very we'll could just be too immature)
-
It is probably too personal for on here and I'm sure people will have fun pecking away at me but I am so posses off that he had the nerve to say that I had to share.
-
You pinched or punched him...?
-
Auto correct fail... No pinching . I punched regretfully

I would have hit him but I'm known to make rash decisions lol

I'm not going to lie, the shove probably would of led to him getting punched before he could of said any of that stuff, but I wouldn't recommend it...
Better to get some kind of authorities involved instead of possibly getting yourself in trouble too. Sense this has already transpired, I recommend not being around this clown anymore and making sure whatever way he knows to get into your house is no longer accessible.
If he says anything further or actually shows up at your house I would just call the cops.

The big problem is I was so close to this guy for so long he knows everything about me my family and the way my house is ran. He is absolutely crazy and psyco as well

Bahhh! Rash decisions are the most fun! :D

I honestly can't answer what "I" would do. If you are concerned about the individual take out a restraining order. Also, just curious would this person really be willing to catch several charges (b&e, destruction of property, trespassing, just to name a few) just to have fun.
-
I honestly think he would do it. And for me it's not even the money nothing can replace my buddy the bts or my first snake. The minute he said that legitimately, I didn't think just went at him.

Thanks for the clarification. I was like, "Yep. That would fall into the category of 'unusual'...to say the least."
I'd second the opinion that you should consider a personal protection order. Honestly, if you say you have reason to believe he'd make good on his threat, the PPO probably wouldn't stop him. Someone who is unstable enough to break into a house and kill someone's pets probably isn't going to be deterred by a court document. But if you have one in place and he violates it, it's just more back up for your case.
As for punching him, don't do that again. That kind of behavior fuels the fire. It also shows the court, should they have to get involved, that the aggression is/was mutual rather than him attacking you. Really when you're dealing with a person like the one you describe, he expects you to punch him because that's what he would do. Be bigger than the trash you're dealing with. Nothing irks them more.

I hear guard alligators are in right now.
I have a nasty temper myself. I've been trying to master it for years and years, but something like this and I'm afraid I'd have been the one to end up in jail, not the other way around. Of course, he wouldn't have been in any condition to break into anyone's home, or even a bag of potato chips for that matter.
That being said. If this individual is as unstable as you say, do get the local authorities involved. You can legally request patrols around your house if you or your family feel threatened by this person. If you know anyone who has been a witness to his unstable behavior, get them to tell police about it as well. You can take out a restraining order, it is a good idea. Just realize that it is just a piece of paper. Notify any close neighbors of your problems with this person, and ask them to keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior around your home. Offer a small reward if one catches him around your house and calls the police before he can cause harm.
Do consider updating your house. Put bars in the windows to prevent them being opened easily. Change your door locks. Invest in a deadbolt if you don't have one, and a chain lock isn't a bad idea either. If there are trees/bushes that grow up close to your home, cut them down or back and make it hard for him to hide. Install motion activated lights outside, and consider an alarm system. They can be really reasonable nowadays. Or invest in a handful of mini security cameras for inside and outside. If you catch him on camera prowling around or attempting to break in, you can send him away for a long time.
Consider changing the location of your animals inside your house. Make them impossible to see from outside, and harder to find inside. Last but not least, invest in a warning sticker for your front door that tells people you are armed and will respond to violence with force if necessary.

You're a savage. Monkey bites to the face?!

I probably would have punched him in the face too but it would have been for the shove and not words. Do you have any kind of home protection? I highly recommend a shotgun with some buck shot and keep it close if you are truly worried this guy will get into your house. They are pretty affordable, dont need anything too fancy. But if you are on a serious budget a taser and a baseball bat works ok.... :D

My mom has had a concealed weapon for years. I also have a .22 rifle in my room. I don't think this guy is out to hurt me physically. We do have cameras at my house too. I'm really not scared for my safety, but my snakes. But I'm not scared for them anymore because I think the punch may have scared him off
-
If a punch scared him off, he must not be that crazy.

If he is truly psychotic a punch will have motivated him.

Re: Food for thought
I don't think your reaction was too crazy due to your age.
All those hormones flying around :P
If that was me... I'd have been too shocked to do anything and probably would have cried.
But then I would of told my s/o and he would have raised hell.
Some people are whacked out of their head like how cool are you that you are threatening to kill my near defenseless animals.
