my business cards

Stick to a white card with black text. It's easier on the eyes and won't require your logo to be in a square box. Overall a much cleaner look. Also, saying you are a rat breeder, and then saying you sell frozen and live asfs is redundant.
Lastly,
I also avoid making false claims (unless you really are the #1 exotics breeder in upstate NY) because they are both tacky, and a quick way to make yourself/your business look too "try hard".

As far as I know I'm the only or 1 of the few breeders in upstate NY

What do you consider upstate ny? Because I live on Li and I consider anything past the city upstate. And I can almost guarantee there are probably over 100 breeders in "upstate" ny

There's too much text on the business card. Try making it cleaner looking, not too cluttered. I made a very crude sketch on a different format and I'll make a design on a computer when I get home (with your permission to use the picture of the snake.) the snake picture should be behind the text, faded to maybe 50% opacity. White card, dark grey letters except for the front, the font should be black. You don't have to write "we breed blah blah blah" because you are a reptile breeder therefor it's a given you breed reptiles. Again the picture attached is very very crude and I apologize, but it gives you an idea on formatting :)

I don't think the new one looks cluttered. But I'm not an expert that's why I'm looking for advice.

Here this is a format I was thinking of. Only had a few minutes to design so it's a little rough. There are 2 options for the front, 4 for the back basically. I didn't watermark it but I'm assuming you won't just steal it haha. But if you want to use it I will make a high resolution one later with a watermark for use.

I like my front but I could change the back.
I could take out the we sell and captive bred parts. Would that make it better?

Yeah basically just take the words on the cards I made and put those words only on the card (not necessarily the format). Boas pythons lizards rats&afs. Nothing more or less :)
-
Also what I posted is just an idea. Many people enjoy very clean and modern business cards IMO. The front you have is very fun which works well, but the curved lettering makes it difficult to read. You should be able to read a business card (both sides) in two or 3 seconds and no second guessing. Just keep that in mind!

The front is what my banner will look like at shows

Banners and business cards have different "design principles" IMO. You should make the lettering straight on the business card and you'll be set :) but this is only a humble opinion and in the end it is your choice!

Colubrids
Boas&pythons
Something like that :)
The card is starting to come together quite nicely

Thanks will do

So I made one for you. Just an idea again. I hope I'm not coming off as a jerk that's trying to force you to adopt my ideas, because I'm really not. :(
I want you to have an awesome business card that's all. Since you breed so many different types of animals I figured that you can (if you want) put a different picture of the animals you breed on the back. Or something. That green tree python was just a google image search and cut out poorly on photoshop by me... :<If you have a different vision and want me to help you, feel free to ask and well I will help you!

No I appreciate your advice. I don't breed all of those animals. Those are all the animals I will sell. I'm thinking about getting a second college degree in business and opening a store that will sell all those animals. In the future I will breed most of what I sell.

You really don't need a degree in business to open up a store. I have many family friends that own successful businesses and they have the most random degrees that don't relate to their work haha. Although taking some business classes at a near by community college will help, but I wouldn't get a business degree to open up a small business. Just let me know if you want a high res copy of the business cards (or any part of it) and I will gladly send them over to you. The last ones I posted are at 400 pixels per inch (business cards are usually at 400 ppi). Good luck!

A lot of my family friends took marketing and finance courses. A 2 year degree sounds pretty good

Can use use a real picture of one of your balls instead? IMO they look way way better than a clip art one...
(if I missed you saying that earlier, sorry!)

I only have normal females. When I get my pinstripe I could use him.
