    Rack in Bedroom question
So I have my little bumblebee girl setup in the rack. Shes in the second level right now since all i have is her at the moment, the second shelf has the perfect temperature 80f cold side 90f hotside with 67% humidity. Looks like everything is in order. I'm trying so hard to restrain myself from playing with her as I know too much handling right now could lead to her refusing food.

the only thing I do is peek inside the tub every morning and if i notice the temp gauge being knock over I will go into and fix it.

Question is the rack is in my bedroom and I tend to be an night owl. will the my room lights being on an abnormal sleep cycle at night bother her?

no hide in the tub, just the water dish and temp gauge

I've always kept my snakes in my bedroom. So far, I've had no issues.

You could give a hide if you're worried about stressing her. I'm sure she would appreciate it.

In my opinion, it shouldn't be a problem.

no problems here, and I'm a night owl.

Last season my adult breeders lived in a closet with zero light and the only time they got light was when I opened the door and turned a light on.
They ate better than ever, bred great and produced lots of clutches, all without a light cycle at all.
This year they have a lot of light being in my room, and they are doing no different than when they had no light.

When I first started, my racks were in my bedroom. We even sold the house with the snakes in the bedroom. When potential buyers came, we just turned the two racks towards each other. No one knew what was in them.

I agree with others that you should provide a hide. It will help.

If you are really worried you could also cover the rack with a sheet or a towel. I have racks in my bedroom and my living room. One of the racks in the living room is covered with a sheet to keep the cats away.

All of my snakes, regardless of which room they are in, eat just fine. The ones in my bedroom are my babies and they don't have hides and I'm usually up most of the night too.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. That wouldn't be the first thing I'd try to change if she doesn't eat.

alright i feel much better. I did touch her a few times since I got her I hope its not that big of a problem. She doesn't seem scare of me at all though doesn't curl up into a ball or anything.

Can balls actually see whats going out from inside the tubs? i have those sterlite once its quite transparent to my eye i wonder if the snake can see out of it at all given their poor eyesight.

I do also have a huge german shepherd that waltz in and out of my room at his leisure. He doesn't show any interest in the snake but could the snake still sense the presence of a huge predator?

Again, I wouldn't worry. The two hatchlings I got in not too long ago arrived here when I had a foster dog. He was always in the room. They've both been eating every time I offer them food, and the first time they ate was only 2 days after they were shipped to me, and I even handled them the day before. I wouldn't worry about the snake being stressed unless she doesn't eat for you.

worries all gone :) my girl just ate a live rat pup for me. She freak out when i accidentally drop the pup on her almost curl into a ball but eventually she came around and took the pup.

little off topic question, do you guys sex your new additions? I trust the breeder but I heard it will be even harder to pop the snake when it grows up. on the other hand i have zero experience popping...
