Oh no!!! Did I hurt him???
I'm panicking so bad!
I've owned snakes for almost 3 years and today I made a really bad move. I was feeding everybody and my BP Mantra wasnt striking at his rat. I thought it was maybe because he was too close to the wall of the tub, so I made to scoot him back a little so he could strike. BAD MOVE! He NAILED my left hand--I've never had a bite that bad before! I freaked and ripped him off of me, and now I'm TERRIFIED that I hurt him! I'm going to check him tomorrow after he's digested some but right now I'm so worried--do you think he's ok? :( I hope I didn't hurt him! I didn't think at all about that. :( :tears:

Impressive! x2 to everything said about him being alright.

Ball pythons have recurved teeth that are designed to hang onto prey. The worst thing you can do is pull your hand away if his mouth is attached to it as the teeth will actually sink further in. Holding your hand with snake attached under water will generally get the snake to release within a few seconds...and , yeah, that's probably the nasiest bp bite I've ever seen...and I'm sure your snake is fine.
