Congrats, Kara! I know you must be excited. I certainly would be thrilled. Heck, I'm excited now, just knowing that this will increase the propagation of leucistics if the babies survive and are healthy. Maybe in a few years the price will be down around where piebalds are now.

Hehe...actually, that was just a generalization. I would consider myself fortunate to be able to get that particular snake for a mere $50k. :shock: :lol:

I remember seeing the fireballs (hets) for like 60K, guess what an actual lucy would go for. I doubt anyone would sell them out yet, too valuable in what they'll produce.

I cannot wait to see pics of the babes that hatch from those eggs. Lovely!

Wat is a fireball?

Wulp a fireball is a Ball Python that has been bred to be pure white with black eyes. I believe Bob Clark was the first guy to have one http://www.bobclark.com

Actually, the "fireball" is a name given to snakes that are apparently the visible hets for a particular strain of black-eyed Leucistics (not ours). Fireballs are pretty snakes in and of themselves, but not the same thing as a Leucy.

I was wondering; what his snake was bred to? Are you going for hets, or was she bred to an other leucistic?

Eggs just hatched...we made some VERY cool looking hets this year! :) I'll post pics soon.
