I would say Mojave or mystic/phantom (I can't tell them apart, some say mojos have clean white bellies and mystics don't? Hell if I know)

Ok mojo seems likely
Does anyone see 2 gene........Bright mojave.......something else?

Could be, its hard to tell with some genes. What did you get it as and what are you brainstorming?

Also, clear shot of the head, and belly shot is always helpful when attempting to ID :)

Ok I was waiting for that question to post what I do know about her to help.....or just confuse more I dont know. lol Trying for an unbiased opinion on looks first. Ok I have a friend with 0 experience with ball morphs who aquired a collection. Lots of females were gravid when he got them but he knew very little and some records probably got mixed up but he did try to keep the 100 plus balls organized for a noob. These were labeled butter/fire. He couldnt tell what they were and had little interest either way. I could not tell either. I ended up purchasing the 2 females and I am still up in the air as to what they are.

Ok I will go out to the snake house and get some belly shots and head shots. I will get them both out together as it may help. Got to get them loaded and all so 20 to 30 min. thanks for all the help.

I would say no on the butter/fire. They are way too dark. I'm thinking mojave, pastave (depending on head), maybe even mojo yb, or something along those lines. I don't see fire/mojave either, but I'm not super familiar with those. Hopefully some others more experienced than myself will chime in for you. They are pretty girls though! That's for sure :)

I would probably call them just Mojaves until they throw something else for you. :confusd:

Those have been my thoughts also. Just kinda looking at them as mojaves right now. But they look way different than the mojaves and pastel mojave I got out of the same collection. More pics are loading now. Of course the other one is in deep shed lol.

I'd say mojave or pastave. Difficult to tell from pics.
My mystics are very different from my mojos in the flesh. They sometimes look similar in pics.

I don't know why but I am not quite seeing mojave here. I'm not an expert on either but I am leaning towards mystic or phantom. But not positive it is either of those either. Just doesn't quite look mojave to me. The head looks too dark to be a pastave so if not a single gene mojave, mystic or phantom, I would say mojave yb, mystic yb or phantom yb. Just my guess.

I thought this aswell, but I have very limited exposure to mystics and phantoms. My suggestion would be pair them with a mojo, if you get bels its a mojo! If you get potions, mystic / phantom!

I always tend to err on the least expensive side, less bubble popping that way lol

I was fortunate enough to acquire a Male mystic potion and a male crystal this year. Maybe these will be good canidates for them when the time is right. Still would like more opinions on them. Any more thoughts now with the new pics?

This is a tough one for me. I just don't have enough knowledge of the differences between the two to determine which way I would lean.

Sorry :(

Id say mystic/phantom.

Are you keeping both those bps in the same tub?

Looking at mojave/fire pics I can see a resemblence. Has anyone looked at pictures of mojo/fires on world of BP and other places or have any experience with them? Is there any evidence in the pics I took that rule that possability?

No way. I dont keep any snakes in the same cage for any purpose other than breeding............and taking these pics. lol I pulled both of their tubs and just put them together for those pics a few minuits ago.

I do have a mystic female That came with my potion and she looks quite a bit different. She is darker. Bolder. I could take a pic of them with the mystic to give a visual contrast to a known morph. It is my phone I am taking pictures with.

I posted the belly shots asked for. Any thoughts?
Also has anyone checked out lots of mojo fires. Lots of them do look just like this to me.

You're really just going to have to breed the animal to figure out what it is. And trying to sell at as anything more than a single gene would not be ethical in my mind - not knowing for certain, what if ANY other gene may be at play (if you were going to sell it).

I see a bright mojave, no yellowbelly in that snake and I don't see fire either.
imo it's just a nice bright mojave ...

and I totally agree with Robin on potentially selling it.

Ok this is frustrating
Thanks anyways. Hard to get straight answers to straight question. I never said my girls were for sale and that has nothing at all to do with my question. Didnt inquire about keeping balls together. Asked for belly shots and nothig said about them. The whole sale of a one gene animal as a two gene is unethical is so obvious and unrelated to my post. snakesrkwel at least barely mentioned part of what I am trying to talk about. So anyways I see pics of fire mojos and they look exactly like this. Was wandering if anyone has produced them or is framiliar with them or even seen dozens of pics of them. If I posted proven fire mojos some would say (and have) I dont see fire. Half of the time they change a mjo very little at all. some times they clean them up a little. And I suppose there are cool extremes that are not the norm. Any thoughts on the fire mojos that are out there? Sorry if I sounded rude but the unrelated obvious is kind of insulting.

And also on the obvious note that breeding them is the only way to know for sure. Once again plainly obvious and of no help. I am looking for opinions of experienced ball python keepers that can shoot an educated guess about what they are just for me to ponder over as I decide what direction I will be going with them in my breeding program. The possible phantom/mystic idea was one that I never even thought about. Thanks for those posts also.

Took a pick with some other known morphs to show contrast. Any Ideas?
