NORMAL- Have you ever?
Never thought it would happen but I fell in love with a NORMAL.... So.... I bought it!!! Have you ever fallen in love with a normal?
Here is a photo of my new girl

She just has so many dots!
Stomach shot

Her stomach is so bright and busy. Its almost as nice as her dots!

I have yet to have one capture my eye. I have a 100% het pied.

Re: NORMAL- Have you ever?
She really does have a great looking belly. I think that normals aren't given enough credit but I myself am more drawn to the vast variety of morphs so I can't really talk :)
-
I love all my normals. :)

Re: NORMAL- Have you ever?

I plan on it! It would be very cool if her dots were genetic! but until I can breed her she's awesome looking normal girl.
My first BP ever died while out on a breeder loan.... But I feel like it always starts with 1... then that turns into 19...
-
14 for me now. Sorry about the breeder loan going bad on you. Never a good feeling.

It only a matter of time!!! lol Your advatar photo looks a lot like the one I just posted of my pastel YB and Albino. Its the "keeping warm" photo

Yes. A normal has indeed captured my heart.
My first 4 ball pythons were morphs. The 5th was a normal. I just had to have her! <3
-
My first ball was a normal male (in process of collecting all my breeders now) he started my hobby and as of now he's the one living in the living room as my everyone can see him snake the carpet and all my breeders have set ups in my snake/rodent room. Like I say tho all my breeders are ones I'm working on getting now I only have my normal male and my carpet.

Re: NORMAL- Have you ever?
My one and only ball is a normal. I picked her up from a breeder for 30 bucks, shes a picky little bugger.. But i love her to death, she will always be my favorite ball. She has a soft spot in my heart <3
-
Honestly, I think some of the normals are nicer looking then some morphs. Depending on the pattern.
-
She's pretty, and oh yeah. I stopped by our local pet shop and saw a couple adult girls that were 'surrendered' to the pet store and had to have them.

Of course I've loved normals. :) The first BP I ever saw and interacted with, the girl that started my love of snakes, was a normal. My first ever BP was a normal girl - my dear Nagini.

She was one of the first to go when the bad times hit, but she went to a good friend and breeder who wanted to dink around with how yellow/white she was. I still miss her.

My first ball python is a male named Stella. We named him before we sexed him and got him entirely for the personality. My girlfriend insisted on keeping the name, and we just explain that he's transgendered. He's a pretty boy with a very stark color contrast and lots of black. Almost a straight black stripe down his back.

Very gorgeous girl, I love how regular the spots on her back are, nice and orderly :P I think she'd definitely do well paired with some of the pattern morphs to clean them up a bit~
Both of my BPs are normal girls, one is still super bright at 1000g with a great reduced pattern, the other girl is a bit more normal colored but with a fun busy pattern. Can't wait till they're both at breeding size and I have a male or two to pair them with :D

My first bp was a male normal. I am so smitten with him.

I really like them too! :D And they were pretty darn big when I got them, but now they are up to 1,900 grams and 1,600 grams. Hopefully I will get some cool babies out of them!

Re: NORMAL- Have you ever?
My first ball python - just brought home this Wednesday, is a normal. Fell in love with her about a month ago at the pet store. I was able to hold her and we just bonded. I could have had a morph but I liked the norm better.
-
Zuni was my first ball, he started this whole thing. Because of him I am now up to 20, 2 boas, 2 pets ( including Zuni), 1 hatchling still looking for his new home, and 15 breeders or future breeders. (Lol it was 18 but my het lavender pair is shipping Monday!)
-
Tori the female normal is the one that started it all for me. I fell in love with her because of her intensely bright colors and a personality to match. I have to agree that normals are better looking then some morphs :) Not that I don't love my precious piebald!
-
My first BP was a Normal. He is always gonna be my favorite. I love my "Rocko":D
-
Robin, you know I've always admired your amazing collection of normals. It just goes to show what someone with an eye for quality can find.
I myself have 4 normals and 3 het pieds that are for all intents and purposes normal. And I love each and every one.
Akashi is my biggest girl, mother to my outstanding fires:

My boy amp. When i was thinking of getting back into snakes again after having kids. I held him at the pet shop and had to have him. Even thow he cost 100 bucks i think hes worth every penny.
-
Angllady how does your eyeless girl do? Are you able to pair her up or is that a genetic thing? Just wondering cuz I've always wanted an eyeless snake just something about them. Can they still use their heat pits?
-
Athena was born eyeless into a clutch that had incubation problems. There were other deformed hatchlings and normal hatchlings as well. I fell in love with her at first sight, and adopted her from Pat as Action Reptiles as soon as she had eaten a few meals on her own. She eats like a horse and is pushing 1100 grams now.
Several people have asked about breeding her, but I don't really see myself doing it. She is beautiful that is true, but I have enough other snakes to breed. Additionally, I had some incubation problems of my own this year and hatched a few snakes that were eyeless, and a few that were deformed. One I had to put down, as it could not eat. The others ate with assistance. One did well and was adopted into a new home, but the others still require assist feeding, which is hard.
Athena "sees" just fine with her heat pits. In fact she seems to see even better than some of the ones that have eyes. She also makes a great ambassador for people who are afraid of snakes, because people are drawn to animals with defects, even if that animal is a :O snake.

That's so cool thank you for the answers. One of these days Ill own an eyeless one idk why I find them so cool, on CL there was an eyeless berm for the longest time but I don't have the room for that just want a ball like that. So again she's a pretty girl and I'm glad she's doing good for you
