So when am I old?
Today's my birthday! Haha I'm 24 years old today, I'm starting off my day with some hunting until 430 then I get a nice meal from my mom and hoping for some birthday money, still think I'm young enough for that lol. Anyways I'm hoping for a good day and to harvest a deer or two but its been a slow year still nice to spend my b-day in a stand with zero things to do and noone to tell me otherwise :) so have a good day everybody!

Re: So when am I old?
Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy our day. You are far from being old, I am 39 and will be 40 next year, talk about old, lol!

Re: So when am I old?
It depends on why you are asking the question. There are no cut and dried cutoff ages, and there are exceptions, but, for instance, if you want to be a concert pianist, you may be too old to start training. Likewise, if you wanted to start training for certain of the Olympic competitions, you may be too old.
In general though, you are as old as you feel. Have a wonderful birthday!!!:fest::fest:

Have a great day! Out in the fresh air hunting, early morning sounds fun. Consider yourself lucky lol, I will be going to work shortly. :( Happy Birthday, and no, your are not old :p

Haha well I feel 18 most days and when I shave everyone thinks I'm 18, but there are days I feel older then the residents I work with and I wonder to myself how long until I can retire lol. Thank you for the birth day wishes! These last three birthdays have been great, I've been sober and clean for last three and a half years so all the birthdays since that day make me happy knowing another year down and still kicking stronger and stronger.

And good I'm not old yet I gotta inform my body of that some days tho haha

Happy Birthday mate!
Some words to live by:
"Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional."
I tell my gf all the time, "Part of me has always been an adult, and part of me will always be a kid."
You're not OLD until you let yourself be brother! It's all a mind set.
-
Happy Birthday! Too bad you aren't around here. There are herds of deer all over the place. I have to dodge them on my motorcycle!

Haha great quote I'm gonna tell that to the girls I know that keep telling me (in a nice way) that I am a giant child at times. Working as a CNA I know tons of females and most them say I have personality coming outta my ass and at times it's like a child playing in a cardboard box. I don't mind adding age long as I can still have fun I don't ever wanna grow boring life too short to be boring.

Nothing like dodging a moving target lol be safe they do tons of damage and not the brightest about avoiding moving objects. If you ever want to round up a doZen or so and bring them to Minnesota I know a farm they would love to live around ;) haha

Happy birthday!
If you're old then that means that I'm getting old and I won't have that!

I hear you there!! I moved out of my parents house at 19 and I'm still a little kid at heart. Being responsible for yourself doesn't mean you have to start wearing sweater vests, feed pigeons, or shake your cane at teenagers. ..although that does sound like fun!
-
Haha yes if I had a cane I'd be shaking it at the teenagers telling them to get off my lawn and pull up their pants :) I'm gonna make an awesome eighty year old lol

Re: So when am I old?
Feeling old is relative to who are are with. I don't feel old at all when I am around my friends. The last time I felt old was when I went to get Halo 4 at midnight at Walmart and was by far the oldest person in line for it. I was also the only person that didn't have to pull out an ID to prove I was old enough to by the game. That made me feel old.

Haha good I wanna be standing in line for midnight video game releases until I can't play video games anymore. I think my biggest reason I feel old is when I was fifteen I broke my back, demolished my shoulder and squished the cartalige out of my knees, I feel thirty feet off a chair lift landed on my feet but that didn't last long till I smashed into the ground lol but training for my fire fighting stuff is adding muscle to those parts so they hurt less and less at the end of the day.

Happy Birthday! I'm 33 and still feel pretty young... Have a good one!
-
Happy birthday!
Im 19 and i dont feel old. I feel very mature for my age sometimes bc of situations forced upon me, but im still a youngin' at heart lol.

Re: So when am I old?
According to my 12 year old daughter, you're official old at 40. You'll know because you'll get Shingles and flu shots will be imperative. So, you're good for awhile!
Happy Birthday!

Mike your a young gun still lol enjoy it I missed out on being 18-21 cuz of bad choices and living in a haze and an ex fiancé that wanted nothing but drugs money and no fun lol. Haha k ill be sure to watch for the signs of old age Brandi :) thank you again everyone my favorite community by far haha
-
Happy birthday!
I'm 42 and still don't feel old. Okay, my right knee's about 65 but we don't pay attention to that unless it's really loud :P
Shoot, my husband's 51 and he just built a smelter in the backyard to smelt his own aluminum and hijacked my cookie tub to make a mold for pouring ingots. Why? Because he can. Because he's a giant, grey-haired teenager who's allowed to play with fire. It makes him happy :)
Relax, enjoy... you've got years before you have to worry about "old".

Thank you for bday wish haha and as far as learning black smithing I have an uncle that's a master black smith like builds things for tons of people. (Know you ment the question for the other person ha) He has taught me how to blacksmith and has told me the best way to get into it is to buy a anvil and a small smithy then start on small things first I learned how to make nails and the things that hold up shelves once you learn how to do the easy stuff you slowly add more like I can make a decent knife now well couple years ago haven't tried in a while. Check at your community college sometimes local black smiths will have a class that's apart from the college it's so much fun learning black smithing tho if your creative I recommend it

haha no worries m8....Very cool! Good advice...When I was living back at the parents place I spent a year taking welding courses just to start off...I'd love to get into black smithing eventually..dont have the time or space right now (small house with 3 other housemates). I will definitely have to look into the area...Winchester, VA is definitely not the DC metro area so things are a bit more limited in offerings out here...

I just asked him, and he said he'd been thinking about it (we save all our aluminum cans to recycle anyway) so he did a Google search and found some good resources on YouTube. :)
