How you came about with your online name for bp.net. Mine is just my real-life initials, so there's not much of a story there. But some of you have really interesting names and I'd love to know the reason or idea behind them! :D
-
Hey Judy
My name came about from the title of a book that I read and loved, its part of the series I wrote and when I first read the term Soul Of Fire it just said so much to me that ment alot to me so thus I named myself Soul Of Fire.
Andrew
-
Is that Soul of Fire from Terry Goodkind? :D Pretty awesome books, if so!
And...welcome to our forum!!!
-
I just pulled mine out of my.... :D
Seriously... :)
Jennifer
-
I play guitar, bass, keys, drums watever... I just love to jam and my parents named me Jonah so I'd have good odds (only man to cross God twice and live) so thus JamminJonah - and my favorite band is Phish... a jam band..
-
My nickname came from Dale Earnhardt Sr's nickname who I have been a fan of since 1979. I started using the nickname Ironhead about 10 years ago and it just stuck, mainly due to the fact that I am very bull headed.
Rest in peace Dale!
-
ill give you guys 2 guesses how i got my screen name  good thread, this is interesting stuff.
-
What a terrible experience!
I got mine cause I went with my ex bow hunting, and loved to track whatever we were hunting. (Following like a shadow.. )I also have a nave blue metallic trans am that changes color in the shadows. So it got stuck with the nickname of shadow... that's how I came up with mine.
-
Yes Judy I got it from the Sword Of Truth series by Terry Goodkind The greatest series I've ever read to date LOL. I'm currently on The Pillars Of Creation, can't wait to read Naked Empire gonna be sick LOL. After that I hear there are 2 more books coming out and thats the series ended.
Andrew
And Mike those 2 guesses was probably the choice of one and thats MOM LOL she put up with you way before your dad did by about 9 months and then at the end of it went through the pain of spitting you out LOL so sorry to say but your dad was lucky enough to agree with her. Jokes man keep her real.
-
I think mine is obvious enough ;)
-
Sassy is my nickname...and part of one of my other online id's....sassafrass just came from that somehow. :)
-
Been using this one online for a while as it just sounded somehow fitting - snagged it out of King Lear.
-
Smulkin gave me mine. He's much better at coming up with these things than I am. Minx is one of his pet names for me (my favorite one, as a matter of fact). He put the "S" in front of it for symmetry (Smulkin and Smynx). I liked it, so I kept it.
-
A lonnnnnggggggg time ago, back in freshmen year of high school I was societyoverdose on everything and anything online. It came to be that that didnt' fit me too well, so I turned it into freakoverdose. Now, everyone just calls me freak. I use it in everything now, why think of new names everytime you join something new.
-
Mine is pretty obviose..lol
Except now with the name change it's awkward. Is their a way to change my screen name to Rusty Reptiles and still keep all my stuff?
Thanks
Rusty

-
mine is my nickname. pronounced "wizzle". weird, and sad, but true.
-
-
Dragon is always in my screen names because I love them and I got the 91RS from my car a 91 Camaro RS some thing else I also hapen to love.
-
-
I got mine from my kids, My own and those I coached. My first season of coaching Hockey my team got me a RED WINGS jersey with HOCKEYMOM on the back, and it just kind of stuck. I am very proud of my nickname, and my boys thinks it's cool that their mom plays and coaches Hockey.
Hockeymom
-
Hehe...LoneStar...I figured that's where yours came from. Glad to see more Texans around...even if I am currently transplanted. :?
-
Well I got my nickname from my frist boss He said that when I worked I went at it like a demon, and he said that I had a temper to me as well So I just came up with Demonic_Rage. That how it happend. I like it myself because I am kinda evil.
-
Mine is an acronym of my initials:
K alidicopic
E ndorphinized
N euotic
Not really. My name is Ken. I had to fess up cause you go to hell for lyin, same as stealin.
-
Comfortable?
Mine came from computers one of my other passions.
Mac = Macintosh
Win = Windows
Yes yes I am one of those weird Mac guys. :D
-
LOL...Wouldn't Macintosh and Windows be opposing passions? Even if they're both computer related?
-
The invader part of mine came from the cartoon Invader Zim when it came out a few years ago... I loved it then but am now kinda tired from it. And the toast part... well... I kind of like to eat toast, but I always thought toasters were neat since when you put bread into it, it can never be bread again. Where as if you microwave something it only makes it warmer, it will cool down and be the same thing again. Yeah yeah I'm weird... I even have a 1920's turnover toaster, lol.
-
Gen is short for my name, Genna. And Genna is actually short for my full name, Genevieve. But I usually just go by Genna.
-
Eddie is my first name & Z is the first initial for my last name, Zyglis. Yeah, ZY puts me at the end of most alphebetical situations.

Mine is my initials - pretty straightforward.

Actually Randy.... There is. But names with spaces cause errors with the site.
-
Hebidoshi is japanese for "year of the snake" which was the year I was born. My friend gave me the nickname a few months ago, and it just kinda stuck...
-
Jotay is spin off on my nickname Jody
An old friend from work instead of calling me Jody would say it Jo-Tay
So it became my screen name on AOL, actually Jotay13 but I cut it to just plain Jotay on here.

I grew up in the North Dallas area (a variety of places) and lived there until I married my AF husband and we moved to Calif. But we lived four years in San Antonio before moving to DC this last summer. I also lived in Huntsville for a year.

Hey if you are referring to my name change, can we change it to rustyreptiles?
Thanks'
Rusty

Judy - I grew up in the North Dallas area, too!!! Lived just minutes from Addison for several years & then moved to Frisco back before the whole area got all built up - back when we could still ride our horses through the drive-through @ Golden Fried Chicken...in fact...back when there was still a Golden Fried Chicken on Hwy 121 instead of the car dealership that's there now.
Lived in Denton for a few years, then back to Dallas for a couple more, now in NH.
And do I sure miss good Tex-Mex & Shiner Bock!!!
Small world!
K
-
Hey Kara...small world indeed. I spent the better part of my growing-up years in The Colony, and then moved to Flower Mound when I was in high school. 121 isn't even recognizable anymore, is it? LOL!

I get mine from an incident with a bike............love that part of the frame between the seat and handlebars.............
Stop cringing everybody, I somehow managed to land just the right way so that while it looked mind-numbingly painful not to mention funny as hell, certain precious things did not get crushed (beautiful blind luck) and I was asked if I had parts made of steel.
-
Hehehe...good story, Steelsack. If you got it on video, you might be able to make money off of it. LOL
-
My name is Richie and my nickname is Slim, so i started to call myself slimrich. Well, turns out that some other people (like at hotmail and other forums and game sites) like slimrich also. So to show all the Slim's who the boss is i made myself BIGSLIMRICH... I like it so much that that is my e-mail add. and my screen name for everything... NO ONE ELSE HAS IT...HA HA!!
