Friend request ;) She made a facebook page as an individual, rather than a business page, so you have to request a friend invite like you would on your personal page.

Thanks for all the support y'all. It's true, everyone starts from the bottom. Small time breeders are breeders too.

You should. It's a good way to gain exposure and make new contacts. Not too mention show off the fruits of your, or rather, your females labor.

How do you make a business page vs a normal page? I made a normal one because I didn't even know where to begin as far as making a business page! I guess something is better than nothing!

After I made my personal page I looked at the right hand column and clicked on create a page. Then just follow the prompts and plug in the info.

Here's a question for y'all facebook savvy folks.

I don't have my business name licensed yet, should I make a page (company / small business) for it anyways? Or wait until I get the legalities all finalized.

In the mean time, should I make a page for just my hobby? Posting pictures of my snakes etc. If so, which page option should I use? (place / small business, company, product, public figure, community, entertainment)

Does it even matter?

It isn't about the likes.. I'm interested in the posts that will be made on this page, and I would like to stay updated. Also, if people plan on breeding in the future, this is a good way to network and get the word out about your animals.

So yeah, it kinda does matter.

I like to keep my snake posts off of my personal page, while also getting my name out there. Having a Facebook page is not only a good business move, it's a nice way to share pics / ideas with other BP lovers and curious friends / family at the same time.

Yes, we know, Facebook is like totally lame, so mainstream, *insert other random arguments here*. By all means, don't make a page for your breeding / selling. I don't think anyone is going to complain.

Yes it's about breeding but its nice to connect with other breeders and showcase your animals. Nice turnout everyone. I like all your pages as well. Thank you everyone for sharing and spreading the word.

I 100% agree with both of these posts. Facebook may be a pain in the butt sometimes, but it would be foolish to completely ignore a FREE, highly trafficked source of advertising that can be used for showing off your animals to potential customers and networking with individuals who have the same passion as you. Not only can you talk snakes with them, but they may have leads on finding that coveted BP morph you've always wanted or rare species of lizard you've tried to find, but can never seem to do so. So in short, for me personally, there are major benefits to having a Facebook account to display my animals and I am happy with my decision to take the time and set it up.

Amen to that. Tap into that resource.

It's easy just visit the page while you're logged in and click the like button.
