breeder spider value
I was going to trade my breeder size female spider as i want to get into a few different morphs but people keep asking me what cash value i would take. She is a female spider ball python just shy of 1500 grams she has locked with the lesser and the pastel numerous times sinve september. what would you ask for her. Give a high to low quality raning as i have no picture to post for quality reference. Also a male pastel proven breeder 1200 grams and a male fire 200 grams. thanks

I may be off here, but at that size I think anywhere from $700-$900 maybe for the Spider. As for the Pastel male, if he is really nice $150- $200 (But I'm probably off). Sadly Pastel males are getting harder to move and many people are selling breeder males for the same price as hatchlings.

This is just a guesstimate, and hopefully someone more experienced will chime in, but here goes!
spider female 1500g - $6-700
Male pastel proven - $150-300 (this will vary widely on quality)
Male fire 200g - $2-300 again, varying largely on quality.
I don't see a huge difference in price range on spider quality. Because of the fact the wide range of wants on spiders. Many like high white, or low white. Busy or reduced. IMO with fires and pastels its much more of a majority on what people like. Pastels, brighter the better, yellow = yay, brown = no yay. Although pattern preference varies with fires, coloration should be light and creamy. Some (a lot I think) prefer reduced pattern fires. If you have to ask "is this a fire" its not a good fire.
This is my observation and opinion, in no way meant to be fact. Hope it helps a little!

Update: the reason I didn't go 7-9 (that was my first thought too lol) was because she was not proven yet. Or so i assumed from your description. If she has laid for you in the past, the price would go up. Also, people like big girls, she is of weight at almost 1500, but more grams = more money.

Re: breeder spider value
these numbers are right around what i was thinking but didnt know how her stage in breeding would play out

You can always start at the top and go down. Ask high but mention you are open to offers. That way you have wiggle room.
-
Foot in the door method! Ask something that is a little over reaching and tack on "obo". While people think you're a little over zealous, they pitch you an offer closer to what they would want to pay. Usually not too far off.

I would say 750$ for the 1.500 gram spider female..
150$ for the pastel male..
And 100$ for the fire male..

Re: breeder spider value
This close to breeding season I wouldn't take less than 1k for the female spider. If she doesnt sell you have a breeder female to use. I stil see female pastels at that size go for 600-700 so I would not take 700 for her.
-
And of course, if she lays for you then you no longer have a "paired but not eggs" or virgin girl at breeding weight.
-
Just getting into breeding. Picked up a proven 950 Gram male spider the other day for $100 on CL.. Ehh, Don't know if I did that great.. People around here know what they have, and they don't go for cheap.

Spider breeder female 1400 grams I'd pay 400. Not much more. Especially since she's already been paired prior to sell and start of my own season. I'd want to hope for my own pairing. Not hope for my male to come thru.
Know what I mean? Had she not been paired I'd go maybe 5-600.
But that's just me. Gotta think if selling a female breeder that someone else is gonna want to breed her. And if your males already done the deed they may not be too happy about it.

I bought my 2250gram spider for $600 - It's hard to factor in the locks with the lesser but I don't know that your going to get more for it because it locked. I think $500 is fair.

Just noticed a proven breeder spider girl on KS for $650 shipped. It was by Jon at coldblooded addiction, so not some joe schmoe. 1k for a breeder sized unprovem girl is over priced IMO / what I've seen on the classifieds lately.
Its up to the buyers though, you never know!
