Highly doubt that snake is 26ft (it's only the Daily Mail - never believe anything written on that website lol). Would be amazing to see though.

Yeah that's nature photographer Daniel De Granville. He's on Facebook. He's got tons of amazing photos. He had a boa in his camp that kept coming back and he got photos of it catching and eating a monitor? I think? I'd have to look back at the photos to make sure what kind of big lizard it was but his photos are awesome.

Edit:: No wait! That's a different guy! Hang on.. Let me get one of Daniels photos.. This guy is really impressive with his work..

Wow you're right! And the description on the other photos in FB for that set say Brazil so I bet they are part of the same team of photographers. I wonder why they don't credit Daniel in the article? It's his watermark on the photos and I got them from his page.. Hmmm.

Well now you know it is him and his crew then. Check out more of his work. There is a lot.

That's amazing! We saw a much smaller one when I was in Peru last year, and even at 12ish feet it was far too big a snake for me to be comfortable with!

Nice, I'd love to do that! Although, I'm pretty sure the snake isn't 26 ft long, otherwise zoologists/herpetologists would have already made notes on it.

It's look more like 18ft. But newspapers exaggerate everything, definitely not 26ft lol.

Am I the only one who looked at these pictures and thought, "wow, that's some really clear water... and the cleanest riverbed I've ever seen"?

I thought this too lol. I was thinkingthe water would be way cloudier too. That waters way clearer than long island sound.

    That is amazing!

I love seeing snakes in their natural habitat; that snake looks like it has seen some harcore stuff* (I learned from last time mods!!! No more infractions for me!!!)

Pretty amazing thing. I wouldn't be so comfortable in front of a 25+ foot snake. But these pictures are amazing!

I'm not convinced that snake is 26 feet long either, BUT it is still a BIG snake!!! I would not want to come across it during my work day...

The water is pretty clear, but depending on the river conditions, that's not too unusual. I work in and around rivers and creeks, and often the water is clear enough to see to the bottom (and sometimes deceptively shallow looking).
