Usually between 3-4 feet :) There are exceptions to every rule though :)

Males generally stay smaller than females but some will get just as big. Most will stay in the 3-4 foot range

Males tend to be smaller than females averaging around 3 1/2- 4 feet long and around 1500 to 2000 grams. Obviously there are some variations of small males and much larger males. In captivity obviously we have got to the point where they are living so much longer that they can grow quite a bit bigger. Hope this helps :)

I just got a ball python today that's at least 4 foot and 2300 grams. I was told it's a male but I think it's a female just from the size. He said it at least 3 years old.

The only way to know its gender for sure would be to have it sexed by someone experienced.

It is possible that it is a female, but some males will grow to be very large!

If you've never used them don't try to learn yourself. You can cause some major damage. The safest method is popping but a little tricky to learn at first. Find someone that is experienced to show you what to do.

I have a 4'5" male (proven breeder) whom is 2100 gm so yours could be male or female it is on that line of maybe. I would see about getting a lesson from someone experienced perhaps a local breeder or vet.

I don't know anyone local that I trust to teach me. It doesn't have any spurs either

Males and females both can have spurs. It is not an indication of gender.

    Do not do this!!

Has nobody ever told you about quarantine?

Not only will it probably prove nothing it could spread disease and end up costing you a lot of money and your snakes lives.

quarantine needs to be done with all new animals reguardless on how many snakes you currently have. Royals sometimes drop the spurs but a dropped spur isn't the same as not having them.

I will get some pics when I get home. I don't have any where away from my other snakes. Just 1 rack in my bedroom.
