Anyone like ORANGE black pastels?? ;)
I rarely post photos of any snakes in my collection. I should start a thread soon with all of my loves. But until I do that......
This is one of my favorite girls. Right around 1000 grams now. I can't wait for late next year...I have some plans for this beauty! :D

Also you SHOULD do a full collection video or picture thread for sure. I dont think ive ever seen you really post pictures of your snakes.

I really need to do another "photo shoot" of my snakes. I think the main reason I haven't done any full collection threads is because it just grows too quickly! HAha. As of right now, I have 46 :snake::snake:
And also because I have quite a few hets...not sure people really wanna see those.

I have a male black pastel 50% pos het that comes from a male black pastel 100% het.
I would bet anyone he'll prove out, we bought a female hypo to raise up just for him.
He's kind of orange too ;)

I love the looks of that snake specially the orange hmm if I paint my normal orange where she's brown.. Wait I member can't paint snakes guess ill have to save up an find one 😝if you ever have some pretty orange babies for sale I'd be more then tempted.

I can DEFINITELY see why she is one of your favorites. That beauty has made me rethink getting a Black Pastel. I doubt I could ever find one as good looking as yours, though. She is top notch for sure. We definitely need more pics of your others. :D;)

I forgot to mention your other little beauty. Have you tried pairing her with a het for Clown or even a Clown (if you have one)? Those huge "alien heads" made me think Clown when I first saw her. Her colors are lovely!

Thank you thank you! As soon as Jerry mentioned hypo, I went straight to WOBP to check out the Hypo Black Pewters. THEY. ARE. AMAZING!! I can't imagine what hers would look like! :D And even if she turned out not being a het, I'd still have some awesome 100% hets to play with. Sounds like a win to me either way.

Thank you so much! I have no idea how I got so lucky getting her.
As for the other little one I posted.....I have no idea what she is. Here is her little story: I bought a group of female bp's off of kingsnake. It came with a total of 10. Three het clowns and seven "normals". This is one of those normals. Maybe she is just an awesome normal.....but I really don't think she is (along with a few of the others I got too).

CL Your post is too long to quote but I gotta question did you get one of those grab bag type of things I've seen? Still new to hobby but I'm pretty sure I'm talking about the bags where you get a number of imported babies and if your lucky some cool morphs are in it?? Hope you understand what I'm talking about lol :)

You can see pics posted using tapatalk can't you? Like the ones I post. If you can ill copy them and repost them so your able too see.

Haha, no worries, I understand exactly what you're talking about. The group I bought was not one of the imported grab bags. At least as far as I know....I was told they were c.b. babies.

On a serious note, I can't wait until next year to see if she proves.....only problem is I have to wait over a year(and that's IF she decides to breed that year. ugh!)!! And if she doesn't prove, like I said earlier...still perfectly fine with me as I'll still be getting some awesome babies that will be 100% hets

i like your black pastel it's very nice looking. what are your plans for her?
i myself own a black pastel 66%het albino (im hoping proves out someday) that in her colors look very dark like a burnt orange color.

Well, after hearing what Snakesrkewl had to say......I think I'm going to be pairing her with my hypo pastel her first season.
Your girl has a great pattern and fantastic dark color! Good luck on proving her out in the future!!

Nope, I won't forget. I am actually quite excited to get home and do a collection picture thread. Of my 9 snakes only two are of a normal phenotype (genotypes are 1 het VPI Axanthic and 1 het Hypo). I will likely have my little boys model them for the pictures as well! Can't wait to get home to ALL of my babies (mostly my two boys). My oldest turns 7 today!

that should be interesting if she turns out to be het. they say black pastels have clean white bellies, but mine has black marks up and down her belly making me think she might prove out. that pic was when i got her im waiting on her to shed to see if she has changed color a bit.
