Snake recently recovered from scale rot and looking to breed him this season
I had a snake that had minor scale rot and has been treated. I want to breed him this season season. His scales are still rough and he needs to shed to be completely recovered. He is also off food ( I am unsure if that is from the infection because all of mine are off food now). Do you think it will be ok to put him in with a female in 2 weeks or should I wait for him to shed so he has a new skin? Can the females catch it from him?

Yea I am going to wait a little bit with him. He is better now and all my other snakes seem to be fine. He just has some rough spots where the scales fell off.

He is a great snake! And I also can't wait. Hehe. Thats why I am trying to keep him in top notch shape. He seems to be doing very well. I am just going to wait till he sheds so he has a complete outer skin before I put him in with any other snakes.

This snake shed and is eating again. But he is not very interested in the females at this point. I am trying to find a way to help him get interested. He is very beautiful. He was sold to me as a pastel butter poss het for genetic stripe and I think he is actually a super pastel. His colors are much more yellow then a regular pastel butter. I guess I will know when I get some of his hatchlings
