temp gun

I am lookin to get myself one of them fancy little temp guns so that i can track the temps in the tank periodically all over the place without having to move my thermostats all over the place & upset the little lady. Does anyone know where I can get one & what the approximate price would be??

Dang they have dropped a bunch in price since last year when I bought mine. I paid like $50 for mien....now you can get them for $25!

I've got the one Marla posted - paid more for it though. It works great and is not as big and bulky as others I've seen. highly recommend it.

I bought the same one about 2 weeks ago, very very happy with it.

Marla, they take money orders. You just have to print out the order form and mail it in, I think. Or you could borrow a friend's CC and give them the cash?

Not at the moment, I couldn't, though that may be an option if they hold onto the special long enough. I just don't know how long their specials are good for and therefore if I'd end up having to send two money orders, ya know? I suppose I could ask them.

Yeah...asking is always good. :) I just ordered one, myself. I'm always worried 'cause Shaggy is constantly knocking the temp probe off his basking rock and I haven't figured out a good way to secure it and still be able to clean the rock every day.

I have been gearing up to grab one of those temp guns myself - as nice as the dual temp digi's are it would be so nice to grab spot temp checks on the fly.

Waaah! I'm going to be the last kid on the block not to have a temp gun! :(

I have no temp gun yet.. but pro exotics www.proexotics.com has them for 25$

no prob that's where I got my care info before I found this forum - they seem to have some pretty good stuff and they seem very educated (they were one of the sites responsible for my being very very in favor of frozen thawed) Thank you, I try to rock as hard as physiology allows.

My boyfriend and I each got the one from proexotics. They're great - and proexotics is great as well.

i have a temp gun. it's made by craftsman, and was fairly expensive... it takes the temp of anything you point the laser beam at, and is highly acurate.

and iceman, are you that hard up for more posts bro?

also you can use your heat sensor on members of the opposite sex to see how effective your lines and/or moves really are! :)

You're right Marla. It didn't used to be $25 at proexotics. I think we paid $35 per temp gun. $25 is a good deal.

I got mine from Radioshack.....$50 lol. Man do I feel ripped off.

If they still have that deal after payday, I am definitely getting one.

is this something to use with the digital thermometer??? sorry, still trying to adjust.

This is something you can point at any surface and get an accurate temp reading, so you can check the temp of the snake itself, the warm hide, cool hide, top of the enclosure, substrate, or your pot roast if you want to.

I've been wanting a temp gun.. My walmart thing takes forever to work and it sucks.. I just got one from proexotics. :)
