It's derp moments like these that make me all worry wart about feeding my Mojave live (he's a PITA and won't switch to f/t for me...I'll keep trying though)
He won't strike if I've got the tub open. So I am super worried that when he gets to biting prey (I've got him on double dose of fuzzy rats right now) that I won't be able to stop the prey from hurting him. UGH! :(
Wish he was more like my piggy lesser pastel..she'd eat a marshmallow if it was offered to her....hopefully she stays my little piggy.

Yeah my snake did the same! She's also an albino ball python. I feed f/t and it was just a weird moment. I ended up tugging at the rat's tail like 10 times to get her to coil around the rat firmly :P she seemed pretty "embarrassed"

Love the commentary as well. Can't wait to get back home to my babies so I can start posting pictures! Now that I can see pictures again (until tomorrow at least) I am getting jealous of all of you guys and your stinkin' pictures! Beautiful albino, by the way. :)

ya i always keep this stick near by when feeding time just incase they leave themselves exposedlike that lol, luckily i've only ever had to use it once usually they are pretty good about coiling right lol

HAHAHA just last feeding my pastel did something similar. I was ready to intervene too. Luckily he had the rat by the ear so its head was no free to start chomping on him. I watched like a hawk until the rat appeared dead. I really expected it not to die though because the wrap Craig had didn't seem very good.
