Which Mazuri rat feed to use
Which 50lb Mazuri rat feed do yall use for your rats. My feed store has about 50 kinds they can get. I have rat racks and want to put it in the top. Im not sure which one to get. Thanks

Mazuri 6F rodent breeder. Best for a breeding colony, nursing mothers, and growing pups.

Definitely go with the Mazuri 6F. Works great and gives fantastic results.

Mazuri 6F here as well! Been using it for a couple months now with great results. Not even 1/4 of the way through the bag! It lasts a long time.

Don't your breeder males get too fat on the 6F or is it fine?

No. Mine are completely fit and muscular. Most animals who are free fed manage their weight better than animals who have a set feeding schedule. (Ironically)

This may or may not be true, but based on my own observation with my personal colony. I want to say that the extra stuff in the 6f makes the males eat less. I rarely see mine eat compared to the females who are always chowing down. Plus the males aren't using as much energy(unless he's breeding) to want to refuel.

Thanks for the heads up guys, I just ordered a 50lb bag from mazuri. With their $9.99 flat rate shipping im saving compared to my local feed store that charges a dollar a pound.
